Arrival Story:
Fulmer was in very very bad shape when he was rescued. He had been attacked by a dog and mauled in his face and his throat areas. When I got him I thought he would lose his eye-- if he even lived. The vet worked on him and managed to save his eye and his wounds healed and he grew to be a beautiful cat.
His only reminder of his horrible beginnings are the oddly scratchy meow he has from his throat damage; and his insatiable hunger from where he almost starved to death.
Bio:
Fulmer has a very difficult time with litter pans. He no longer fits in any of the covered ones. We thought we had solved his problem by getting one for very large cats but it had a rounded part on its bottom and he used it a few times, stepped in it wrong and it broke on him (very traumatic for him to say the least!) Now he is using an extra large pan from Rubbermaid but it really is not roomy and comfortable for him. I have told Fulmer that the next step will be a small children's wading pool if the Science Diet Lite doesnt work.
Fulmer has been switched to Science Diet Lite to try to help him lose some of his excess weight. A younger cat was added to our household, and they play, so he is getting more exercise.
