Birds Revised

Meow to you, my fellow kitties! My previous post I spoke about the two walking meals, named Barnum and Bailey.

Well, something bad happened, and no I did not eat them. That would be a good thing. They flew away.

Sad, but before they flew the coop, they found a new bird to take their place. A couple days before, while they were outside, a new parakeet found the cage.
I saw the whole thing, I couldn't keep my eyes off the new meal. Well, mom caught it and put it in the cage. At first dad did not want to keep the new meal, and wanted to put up flyers to find the home that the bird belonged to.

Well, the next day a big wind came up, and blew the cage down. Barnum and Bailey got out! So dang birds! They ran away before I could eat them!
The good news is, the new bird stayed! Mmmmmmmm, a new bird. *licking chops*

So since the new bird stayed, mom did not want to find the home anymore.

Now the new bird, I heard dad named "Paul", mom hates that name, so I think it'll be changed soon, is in the big bedroom now.

Once in awhile I'll hear it sing and chirp, and I just stare at it plotting its demise.

In a more recent note, this last weekend, something bad happened to me. It was while mom was gone for the night on friday, she came back home on saturday and I was crying real hard. So she picked me up, and looked me over. That's when she found that on my backpaw, all my nails we gone.

She doesn't know what happened, but she doesn't suspect the dog (like I hoped my plan would do) so the dog stays.... but, my foot still hurts real bad! I can't stop licking it, and I'm always shaking it, because it feels like I stepped in mud.
Dad thinks I don't have to go to the doctor, but mom is going to watch my foot, and if it gets infected, she's going to take me in. I don't want to go to the doctor, cause they always put the thing up my butt! I hate that! I try to scratch the eyes out of anyone who tries to touch me.

Well, I'm going to go lick my foot now.

Tula

Birds!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In my family are two walking meals-Barnum and Bailey-the two parakeets that drive me nuts!

Recently those two fresh buffets have been moved from the "future nursery" aka: 3rd bedroom, to the big bedroom, where I sleep with mom and dad, and that bug of a doggie sister Lily.

Well, they were staying in there for awhile, it felt like forever, but I heard from mom that it was only about three weeks long. That is forever!
So since their mobile feeding station "cage" is the same height as the bed we sleep on, it made for a great view of my future lunches.

But, they made dad real grumpy in the morning, cause they love to chrip and squak in the morning (all the more reason to eat them), so mom put them outside on the patio. All day I stare at them through the glass, licking my chops, thinking how great they would taste .

One time I even tried to jump for the cage, but was rudly interrupted when my nose slammed into some big glass thing. I heard from mom, as she was rubbing my head and trying to stroke my ego back into place, that it's called a "door". I've never seen a "door" that's see through before. That door thing really hurt my nose, all I could do was fall to the ground and whine, cause I had the best jump for those noisy meal tickets.

But, my quest for the perfect birdy meal is not over. Everyday I stare at them, and they squak and squeek knowing full well that they bug me, and yet I can't do anything about eating them. I'm watching them, and one day I will spit feathers.

My Tail of Devotion for Tula Soennichsen

Tula is the sweetest kitty EVER! She is such a love, and longs to be close to you. She loves to sit on laps and get her head, ears, neck and chin scratched.

Before we adopted Lily, she even acted like a dog. We had to keep the lid of the toilet down, so she wouldn't drink out of the toilet. She would play fetch with the ball, and would also run to the door when you would come home from work in the evening.

Tula is also allergic to flea bites, so when she gets bit her lip(s) gets puffy and it's painful. When we were living in our apartment, the poor baby was at the doctor's every month because of the bites. Since then we have had it biopsied and found it the be a reaction to flea bites.

Once moving to the new house, the carpet is new so no fleas live in it, however, it gets difficult trying to keep our house a flea-free home, when Lily is running in and out. Lily gets a flea bath every week. But poor Tula got bit about 10 days ago, and she got over being sick. Ugh.

I love her to death, and if I could get one wish for my kitty-I would wish perfect health for her throughout her life. She only three years old, and she's been through so much. I just want her to be free of sickness forever. I'd give up a million dollars to keep her healthy for the rest of her precious life.

Tula is my first baby girl and will always have that special place in my heart that she forever resides.

Hiss to the dog!

Well it happened! Mom and dad bought a new puppy, just like they said they would. Hissssss! I hated that doggie when it walked through MY door yesterday. They named it Lily-it's a nice name I guess. *shrug*

I see that dog as a disruption to my routine, and an intrusion on my well deserved lap area with mom. She's all over MY mom and dad now, and I hate that.
I'm a throughly pissed off kitty, and I know mom and dad have been trying real hard to get me to like the new dog.

Today I wapped the doggie in the nose, just like I said I would in my earlier entry, because Lily got too close to my new bed and she wasn't getting that too.

I need to think about this new dog situation for awhile, and when I finally feel like it's a good idea, then I will inform the family about my decision to keep the new pet. Until then, I'll just try to get as close to my mom and dad as I can, while keeping my distance from the new nusance.

The Doctor and the dog

HI my feline friends!

It's been awhile since writing, and I told mom what to write before she left for work, so instead of me telling her what to write while I sit on her lap she's taking a break at work and writing for me.

Let's see, two weeks ago I didn't feel good at all. It hurt to pee and poo real bad, and mom was real concerned for me, so the first day she could make a doctor's appointment for me, she did. But I hate going to the doctor, I always have. The doctor squeezed my bladder til I pee'd on the table in order to get a urine sample, and the results came back that I have kidney stones.

I was put on a pain medicine and an antibiotic. I hated that pain medicine, and I know that mom did too cause when I was given it, my mouth couldn't stop foaming. So I'm so thankful that it only lasted 2 days, but my antibiotic ends tomorrow.

I'm feeling much better these days, and my constant peeing and pooing on the carpet, clothes, couch and pretty much everywhere else has stopped. Mom and dad are both grateful for that-but I couldn't help it and they know that, and still love me so much.

This last weekend, they brought a dog home! I was so upset over that, but it turns out that she was only at my house for the weekend, cause mom and dad were dog sitting. Her name is Shelly, and I've known her my entire life, but she still scared me cause she totally ruined my routine.

I heared recently that dad wants to get mom a puppy for her birthday next month, and if they do- then I'll just have to swat it on the nose to show it who's the boss. I don't want a puppy, but mom's been wanting a dog for awhile, but I refuse to share my lap space.

The mouse in the garage!

There was a real life mouse in the garage on Thursday 3/2. I heard mom and dad try to scare them out of the garage.

I don't think I've ever seen a real life mouse before. I really wanted in on the action, but they kept me inside. I heard later that there were two of them, and they were checking out our graham crackers and granola bars.

There wasn't any babies around, so darn it, I can't sneak in later and catch myself a real mouse.

After they shoo'd them out the door, I heard a real strange noise, and I found out later that dad was sawing a threshold down, to stick in inside of the side door, so they wouldn't get back in. Man, that sound really hurt my ears, and I was scared that something bad was happening, but mom and dad both came inside ready for bed.

So that's my mouse story.

My painful memory

Last night mom started playing mouse with me, while she was on the computer. So then I got all excited and started playing with my orange mouse under mom's desk chair. When I let out this yelp. Mom first thought that I was trying to get her attention, so she replied back. But the next meow I let out was a desperate cry for help, and she turned around, only to find that my nail was caught under the chair. It hurt real bad, and she started to call for dad. Dad lifted the chair and mom got my nail loose from under the chair.

For a second when dad lifted the chair, I thought my nail was going to rip off, and dad was scared that I would break my arm. But in the end everything turned out alright, and I learned not to play mouse under the chair.
After that I wasn't much in the mood to play mouse, even though mom still tried to get me to play some more. Nope my night was called and I was happy to have my arm and my nail.

Meow you later

Uncle Josh's Wedding and late night adventure

Yesterday my mom and dad got all dressed up and went to a wedding. They were running all over the house, and I remember from before that when they are running around to get out of the way. Cause they are going somewhere in a real hurry.

At least I didn't see any luggage, otherwise I'd have to sit in it to keep them from leaving.

My uncle Josh got married yesterday, and the ceremony was pretty from what I hear. They didn't invite the feline relatives. But from what I hear, they have a cat too, named double stuff- so I have a cousin!

And late last night, my other uncle Matt and aunt Amy came over to see our new house, and that's where my adventure began.

Sometimes the door doesn't shut correctly, so when I'm lucky enough to see it open, I love to run outside and scare my mom to death. And that's just what I did at 10pm last night.

She turned around and saw the door was open, and freaked out, cause I'm not allowed outside without my leash, and it was real dark out last night.

Mom came outside and started yelling my name, and I didn't show, but once Dad came out and called me, I came running. I guess I didn't hear my mom calling before, but I was next door saying "Hi" to their front porch plants.

My mom was just so happy to see me inside the house without something bad happening. But I still got one swat on the butt for running out in the dark, and I went to bed with them after that.

I'll type back later, when I've got something else to tell mom to write.

My reflection

I recently found another cat outside the sliding glass door at night. When the curtains are seperated and I walk up to the glass, there it is! another cat!

My mom and dad just laugh as I jump and try to attack this other cat, while I'm trying to protect my territory.

It's really spooky, when I move that cat moves. I jump and try to sneek attack it, and it knows my every move. At last resort I bush my tail to try to intimidate it, and it does it right back.

One of these days, I'm gonna find that cat, and I'm gonna make sure that it doesn't come near my home and my family again.
Consider yourself warned, you phantom cat.
