I thought Leander needed a friend, and because LeLe was such a stellar example of catdom, I wanted a little LeLe, so one day when my husband was out of town I ventured to the animal shelter and there was my little traumatized Trooper. (His name had come to me in a dream a few weeks before this jaunt.) I took him out of his cage and he just purred and purred and claimed me. He then lived behind our commode for the next 3 weeks refusing to come out, and then he lived under our bed for 3 more weeks, he finally has become secure since we moved out of the apartment and into a house. I think the constant noises made him a little edgy.
