My Home

For the first month, I had this home all to myself. Then along came this dishevelled looking patchy tortie. A sight for sore eyes, I nearly felt sorry for her. Me with my sleek black shiny coat, and her with a ratty looking blotchy coloured one.

My human kept her in the room by herself for the first while. We played with toys under the door, and sometimes we would hiss at each other. She was meek at first, and now I have to watch that she doesn't take over.

I love it now that we have moved into a house. So much room to play chase. I don't know what I did before I could go in the yard with my human , of course.
At first she tried to put me in a harness, but showed her, how I could get out of it in about thirty seconds flat. She finally gave up on that idea.

So that ended that. Things are fine as long as we stay in the yard.
Some days, I cry and cry, and howl, and blubber to go out, to no avail.
Other times, I like to get into my mom's art paints, and create designs on the floors. I especially like red.

I like to shred paper and cardboard. I don't do it too much now, just when I feel not enough attention is being paid to me.

I drink water from anywhere I can. We have our own water fountain, but I prefer the water in the Buddha Fountain, even though it means my mom has to refill it constantly.
Somehow it just tastes better. And I drink from the bird bath too.
Mmmmm . . . bird soup!
