Arrival Story:
I went to the cat shelter in Framingham, MA, with my roommate to help her pick out a kitten, never even planning to get a cat. But there Maggie was, looking up at me with her big green eyes, and I had to adopt her. She had been feral, rescued by a woman who already had too many cats and could not take care of her. Although she was very scared, the women working at the shelter assured me that she was quite the little sweetheart. They were right! Maggie did hide in the bathroom for 2 weeks and took about a year to finally settle in, but she has now and is a very normal, regular cat. She loves to play with her toys, sleep on the bed, and look out the window. She does still get scared when people come to visit, but sometimes she'll let other people pet her.

I lost my first life during my feral days. I can't quite remember what happened to me then, but I'm sure it was pretty bad, especially compared to my life of luxury now! I came from the MetroWest Cat Shelter in Framingham. I really liked the people there, but I like my new home even more. I didn't really like moving from Boston to New York, but now that I'm here I'm 100% New Yorker. Meow! I was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and was pretty sick for a little while but now I'm doing great. My parents have to give me insulin every day but I don't mind it because I know it makes me feel better.
