I fell in love with him on Petfinder.com and a dear friend rented a car for the 2 hour drive to the shelter he was at to go get him.

Bio:
Merlyn was diagnosed with diabetes 1 year after I adopted him. Thanks to the FDMB at http://www.felinediabetes.com he is now in remission and off insulin. HOMETESTING SAVES LIVES! Right after going into remission Merlyn was diagnosed with early CRI-Chronic Renal Insufficiency. He has been getting sub Q fluids since August of 05. In November of 06 he had to go to the ER because he couldnt poo, and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy with Severe Left Atrial Enlargement was diagnosed. Despite all these issues he is still running around and jumping on cat tree and chasing Janeway and wacking her butt. He's my "heart" kitty in more ways than one. The saddest day of my life was 4/29/09.. My Merlyn, my baby, I had to put him to sleep because of his big heart... his other organs werent doing too well either. I love you forever big boy...

Merlyn got Janeway out of her rut that she was in. Hes a psychologist! He decided one day to start getting under the covers in bed to see my reaction. After a while he said, done with that..lets see how momma handles head butts on her head in bed!
