Arrival Story:
Mommy and daddy came to the Humane Society intending to adopt one or two cats. Daddy wanted one. Mommy wanted two so we could keep each other company. They were looking at some cats in one of the upper cages. Bibs, my brother, and I were in the middle cage of the stack. I reached out and grabbed the cord from mommy's pedometer. Can you believe they told mommy and daddy that I was more timid than Bibs? I had to prove them wrong so I sat on mommy's lap and purred like crazy. I don't know what was wrong with Bibs. He cowered in the corner. The lady at the Humane Society said we were making a liar out of her. Mommy and daddy really wanted me. Mommy and daddy thought about teaming me up with someone besides Bibs. But the Humane Society really wanted both us to go together because we were so dependent on each other. So they took both of us. The Humane Society was right though. I am much more timid than Bibs.

The vet estimated that I was 7 months old when I was adopted in April, 2003. I purr a lot and very loudly. I can be heard from a long distance away. I meow very little. When I do meow, mommy and daddy says it sounds like a very high squeak, nothing like a cat. I love to play fetch and soccer with glitter balls. I often take a glitter ball to the closet door and intentionally bat it under there. I then try to reach under the door for it. Whenever mommy or daddy come close to the door, I cry. They know that means to please check for toys in the closet. If there aren't any balls there, I'm real disappointed and recheck the closet floor to make sure they didn't miss one. Sometimes they do, you know. Then I have to get it out myself.

A day in my life ...

It's my birthday!

Today is my 4th birthday!

When mommy got up today, she gave Bibs and I treats. Bibs tried to steal my treats. Me, being so polite, backed away so he could take them. Then mommy stepped in. She told Bibs, no those are my treats. Whenever he tried to take them, that is what happened. I ended up getting just as many as he did. She says we will get more later.

This afternoon, she gave us some catnip. I had fun scratching it and rolling around in it. Then she rolled some of our toys in it. I wrestled with those for awhile. I even wrestled with Bibs mice. I normally don't like mice. Bibs wasn't too happy about that. So he started wrestling with me. Actually, we end up wrestling every time we get into the catnip. After we were done playing, we went and slept it off.

How long is later? It seems like forever.

Daddy moved the box!

Mommy left Bibs & I home with daddy all weekend. Daddy moved the box that I used to get to mommy's wreath! I can't reach it now! I'm so sad. :( I decided to punish that mean daddy. I didn't sleep with him all weekend. I showed him! Then to make him even more jealous, I climbed on mommy and fell asleep when she went to bed. That'll teach him!

I had fun today. I kept trying to eat mommy's wreath. She says it isn't good for me. But I can't help myself. It is so tempting!
