Arrival Story: UPDATE: My grandfather's assisted living has decided that he can keep Kitty so she's back living with him! I'm so happy for the both of them because my grandfather really missed her and I'm sure she missed him too. See her original story for more information. ORIGINAL STORY: Kitty was my grandfather's beloved cat. She was by far his most treasured possesion. Unfortunately he recently moved into an assisted living facility and the space was not large enough for her. She is a very smart cat and figured out how to open the door to his room even if it was completely closed. She also figured out how to use the elevator to get from the second floor (where my grandfather lived) to the ground floor (fortunatley there were only two floors). From there she could open the automatic front doors and so she came and went as she pleased. A few of the other residents started complaining that she was getting in their rooms (who would mind a feline visitor?) and so the staff made him give the cat away. He gave her to me because he knew I would take good care of her. Now she has two new playmates to keep her company. Her presence is bittersweet, though, in the fact that my grandfather had to lose his beloved companion but I will take her to visit him whenever I can.

Bio: She is extremely intelligent (as you could see from the story above. a cat that can use an elevator!) so I always have to make sure she stays out of trouble. She is also very affectionate and runs to greet me at the door with a million meows when I get home. She is adjusting well to her new home and she bully's the boys around even though they were here first. It is a swift paw to the face if one of them gets in her way. She plays with them too, though, and I can see that they are all becoming best friends already.
