My Diary

My last days...

So Mom has taken a while to write this as it has been too painful for her. I was having trouble eating, throwing up EVERYTHING that I ate no matter what. Grandpa (my vet) did surgery on me and all he could find was a fatty tumor pushing up on my stomach, so it was removed. 10 days later Chloe the Westie attacked me and made me have a stroke, I also had a nasty abscess that went into my inner ear. I wasn't the same afterwards, kept going downhill. After Puppins, mom promised herself she would NEVER let anyone of her critters suffer and would ease their pain gently by putting them to sleep. So she was with me, boy was that ever tough, I was confused and didn't know what was going on so I fought it and fought it and fought it, finally they had to give me a sedative and then Grandpa had to go straight into my heart. It was awful for my mom, but guess what? Now I am at Rainbow Bridge, I am healthy and happy, I can hear!!!! I also don't have to worry about scratching myself silly all the time! YEAH!!! But don't worry about my mom....every now and then I check up on her, and sometimes I let her feel me on her pillow.

My Dear Sweet Footloose;

Although you are no longer with me, you still have a place in my heart. Each day I think of you, each night I can feel you sleeping with me on my bed. You are and always will be my Footie, my Footloose and Fancy Free. I miss you more and more each day, the simplest things remind me of you. Please know that one day, I will meet you again at rainbow bridge. Sleep well my dear Footie.

This is a special Tail of Devotion
