In fact, everyone who meets J.D. remarks how sweet and special he is. And, J.D. is special. He has FIV, a virus that affects his immune system. Many FIV+ cats live quite long and normal lives, often with no symptoms at all. He is looking for a lifetime partner who understands he is just a regular guy that has lots of love to give. The Long Road Home

Finally

That lady who likes to hug and kiss me (I play-bite her to get her to stop, but she won't) finally took more pictures of me.

I'm getting so depressed in her. That stupid Mr. Sketch gets all the attention. I get ignored a lot. I'm the cuter of the two of us; he is shaved, after all. But no one comes to take me home. I am here waiting for the right family, but no one seems interested.

Maybe my new pictures will get posted and people can see how cute I am again.

It's been so long!!

I haven't written a diary entry for ages now. I really must start keeping up to date on this. Who's gonna be able to get to know me if I don't write in my diary? And, alas, my cute looks just aren't getting me adopted.

Not too long ago, I was called the Golden Retriever of cats (dogs .... yuck!). The cat lady assured me it was meant as a compliment. It was supposed to mean that I'm such a happy-go-lucky guy; always bright-eyed and excited about whoever comes my way (I'm not happy about Mr. Sketch coming my way).

I just want some lap to sleep on, some toys to play with (love those feathers!), maybe a cat or two who actually like playing (all Mr. Sketch wants is the lap I was going to sleep on .... he's so pushy).

I love canned food!! And the treats Jane gives me. I want more!! Bring more. And feathers, too!!!! I love that Jane.

A new cat tree

One of the volunteers (do I need to mention Jane's name again?) gave me the most perfect present a few days ago; a big cat scratcher tree. There's the most perfect place to sleep on the very top of it; and so that's where I sleep and hang out most of the time. The best part of it is that I'm constantly out of reach of my bossy roommate, Mr. Sketch.

Jane's such a nice person, I'm sure she meant the scratcher to be for both Mr. Sketch and me. But I claimed it. It's mine, mine, mine! And Mr. Sketch can't have it (until he learns to play with me .... then I might share).

I'm waiting for the lady who works here to take more pictures of me to post on this website. She's been such a slacker lately about taking new pictures of us. I guess she's been busy ... but she does come in on a regular basis to give me some cuddles and playtime. I think I'm one of her favorite kitties. But I'm not sure her judgement is always the soundest; she does, afterall, like Mr. Sketch, too!

P.S. Mr. Sketch thinks he rules ... He's wrong. I rule! Or maybe I'm just too cute! Either way works for me!
