Arrival Story:
I nearly ran her over as she was wandering in the street a few blocks from my house. I picked her up, and set her down on the sidewalk, but she walked right into the way of another car. A neighbor said she was a stray and had been around for a few days. She was very friendly. I took her to the vet to have her tested and fixed. She was infested with fleas and deaf from ear infection and mites.

Bio:
I decided to try to keep Princess or at least foster her until I could find her a home. Her ears got better and she started to hear a little again. She loved sleeping in my bed and she soon captured my heart. Unfortunately she hated my other cats, and though we tried for 2 months, they just would not get along. I just couldn't find a home for her here, and I had to lock her upstairs in the bedrooms during the day, so she would not fight with my other cats. With a heavy heart I decided to take her to a wonderful SPCA adoption center in Eugene, a two hour drive from here and brought her there in December. I so hoped she would find a great new home for the holidays, and the kind Ladies at the Center said she had excellent chances to be adopted quickly as she was tested, fixed and so well-behaved, ideal if she just could be an only cat. Sadly, shortly after that, her ear infection started up again and turned into an untreatable upper respiratory infection, so they had to put her to sleep. She was a very sweet cat. I am glad that I knew her and just wish she could have lived a long and happy life.
