Arrival Story:
I wanted to adopt a cat that I had found, but she was very sick with Leukemia, so the vet had to put her down. When we were there, Bearly sat in a cage with a sign: "I need a good home." He had been living in a dumpster for a year, so I said: You're coming home with me.

He is extremely goodlooking. He wears a collar with a bell, so he won't catch birds, with his name tag. One day he lost the collar, and a lady called me, saying ( probably from th size of the collar ) that she found the collar of our "dog Barry". He comes inside in the evening and stays home at night. As he marks, he lives in our big basement, but it's nice with sofa and TV and a lot of newspaper on the floor, and I spend time with him every night. He tells me about the adventures he had during the day and I brush his beautiful fur and pet him as much as he wants. I always promise him that I would show him in a cat show if ever one comes to town! One night I was sitting on the sofa waiting for him to hop on my lap, when he came and dropped a huge rat in my lap. Unfortunately, the rat was not quite dead but regained consciousness in my lap - I nearly had a heart attack ! Since we have Mio and Quincy, the 2 have taken to adoring Bearly, he is The Master! They follow him around until he gets annoyed and hands out a few slaps. But nothing serious, he is their God. 5/12/10: My sweet Bear went to the rainbow today. at 5 pm he was lying on his back in the grass, enjoying the sunshine, and I thought "what a happy old guy". At 6 I found him in the wood shed in massive pain, and at 7 pm he was at the rainbow. He might have been hit by a car, or bitten by a big dog, but his left hindleg was completely crushed, the xray also showed severe arthritis and an egg-sized lymphoma. There was nothing we could do for him anymore, so we loved him and held him when he made his journey. Farewell, my sweet Bearly. What a great life you had.

Ok, now I have to come up with seven facts about me.

1. for the first 12 months with my family I was an office cat and commuted every day with mom. She never had to use the carrier, I would just sit on the passenger seat
2. Mipo and I did not really get along
3. I'm a lover not a fighter
4. But I am big and strong and can defend myself if necessary
5. During the pollen season, mom is a little allergic to me, too
6. I am mostly called Baby, rarely Bearly
