Another candle

Today I have another candle on my cake, I've officially been on Catster for 7 years. My furmily and I have had so many great memories being a member of this great community. We have made so many great furriends over the years as well. We purr that over the years to come we have many more great memories and make many more great furriends.

All good things must come to an end eventually...

Well it looks like my time as Cat Of The Week (for which I have been honored with since August 1st) has ended... I was hoping I would make it until the end of the month but I guess it was not meant to be. I have however been in the spotlight fur 8 weeks & 3 days, or 53 days, which was probably a lot longer than many wanted to see this mug on the homepage.
Thank mew to my furriends fur being so furry kind to me during these last few weeks. I am a lucky fur!

Cat Of The Month!

My time as Cat Of The Week has turned into Cat Of The Month! It is official; I have been on the homepage with this honor since August 1st and today is the 31st. I am not going too meow that this happened because Catster has fleas, but rather that my orange cuteness was just too meowveous to change... fur now. This month I have received some pawsome rosettes, pmails & comments and I have also gained 51 furriends, been corralled 3 more times and my page has been viewed almost 500 times! Thanks every fur fur making this orange boy feel special. So what should I make mommy get me fur being COTM?

I'm Cat Of The Week and I'm Feisty Cool

I still cannot believe that I am Cat Of The Week! This is furry pawsome! I have received so many meowvelous comments, pmails and rosettes! Even some furriendship requests... I will meow that this orange furrball sure does feel special. Thank mew furriends and thank mew Catster!

If you call my name I will meow to you and sometimes I will chat with you but generally I am a quiet kitty.

I always cover unless it's stinky then I just run out! MOL

3. Happy! Favorite Daily Routine?
I love trying to run out the door when my pawrents are either going out or coming in. Sometimes I am successful and I get to eat some grass.

4. Hiss! Least Favorite Routine?
The daily sniff and attacks from Iggy.

5. Ding-Dong! What do you think about visitors to your house?
If its a voice I know I am okay, otherwise I will be on alert then run & hide if you come too close to me.

6. Friends! Do you like other animals?
I am afraid of dogs and I can be hesitant about other cats I meet but sometimes I become furriends with them.

My pawsome pal-in-nakedness Rufus tagged me to list 5 Reasons My Humans Annoy Me so here goes:

1. My humans won't let me roam outside free and wild, I am never allowed out without my harness or unsupervised and that annoys me.
2. My mommy dresses me and daddy doesn't stop her, they both annoy me fur this.
3. I sleep in bed between my humans and when they move in the middle of the night it often disturbs my sleep, I get annoyed when they wake me so I often leave.
4. My humans don't always give me access to their laps 24/7. I should be allowed to snuggle or nap on their lap or legs whenever I want and when they don't let by complaining they have stuff to do it annoys me.
5. My humans won't let me eat the outdoor cats food, I like their yummy cheap junk food and they won't let me eat any of it, that annoys me.

I think every fur got something right, but, Calvin wins since he got two of the answers right. Tasha, Rufus, Callie (thanks fur calling me handsome) and Kazumi Joy guessed he knew it was me in the carrier. Hazel Lucy, mommy says it would be nice to add another fur into our furmily but she has to convince daddy and Sigmond had us smiling with the guessing game we can play on our vet. And Edgar had us MOLing, by the way when did you come visit Canada?

Thank mew furriends fur your continued purrs, they must be working because I am still here with almost all good days! So lets go back to that vet visit day on 8/26... I had not seen Dr. Gilmore since 6/15, fur 2 weeks mommy and he played phone tag, and then my 2 vet visits after that were with Dr. Seto, so when we showed up we think Dr. Gilmore thought we went somewhere else. I guess he didn't account fur holidays & summer vacations... My x-rays were just as good as my previous ones on 7/28. I do have a little fluid build up on the right front side but not enough to drain me. Mommy showed him my file and he went thru my paperwork that she left the last time and he asked her many questions. He seemed impressed that no one prescribed anything and that mommy did lots of reading and chose all the holistic meds I am on. Mommy reminded him that Rutin, a vitamin, was prescribed after deciding heart surgery was not right and that she was going to find another way and holistic seemed right. He said he did not know how it worked but seemed glad that I was doing well. And then he wondered why we were there... I think maybe my mommy is smarter than my vet because he seemed at a loss. Mommy says that she was just determined to find a way to make me feel better.

Since my vet visit I have been doing well. The roasted duck pill pockets are a meowvelous treat so I get excited when I have to take my pills. I have not had many attacks which is good, I am feisty and playful. My pawrents are extra careful holding me to make sure I am not squeezed (daddy accidentally caught me escaping and I had an attack afterwards) and they make sure the house never gets stuffy. I still get spoiled but it's not free rein anymore, I did get in trouble fur chasing Sissy the other day. I am a happy kitty, I love my cuddles and I am trying to stay healthy. I would like to meow a big thank mew fur your friendship and purrs, I know your well wishes are helping me too.

Everyfur has been furry nice to me lately and I really enjoy reading my diary comments. it warms my heart to have such caring furriends, many also asked how I am and I realized that I never pawed a diary entry about my last vet visit which was on August 26th. (please send all hisses to my mommy and not to me, really it is all her fault since she is my secretary) So since I am already so late meowing to you all about it, how about I keep you wondering with a little contest? I will award rosettes or zealies for all right answers, and if you get all 3 or are really close you can chose between zealies or catnip toys by mail… you decide.

Hiding adventure

This afternoon there was quite an adventure at our house. When mommy & daddy came home from grocery shopping I was nowhere to be found. My pawrents panicked and ran around the house searching fur me calling my name. Thy were going over details about when they saw me last, and mommy said she kissed Copy & me at the door as she sneaked out, and they both said they didn't see me when they came home but wondered if I got sneaky and somehow got passed them. So outside they went looking fur me calling my name. Back inside they went looking fur me, opening drawers & closets, looking in silly places like the dryer & fridge, and then back outside then went. After a while mommy came back in and decided to start all over again, she sat on the bed and decided to pull open daddy's bottom drawer, and there I was sleeping on his socks. Mommy laughed and wondered how I got in there, and then hugged me. All I want to know is why I was awoken from a quiet warm nap spot....
