Skills: he has actually trained me to play fetch with him. He brings me his pet mouse and drops it in my hand. Then I have to throw it and he gets it and carries it back to, drops it into my hand and on and on and on.

Arrival Story: My beloved cat Mipo died in June age 14 from cancer. He told me he would come back, and I believe he is reborn in Mio.
There is an uncanny similarity, and from the time I met him just 2 days before Christmas 2005, he just has loved me unconditionally. He was born when Mipo died. Makes me wonder, but no matter what, he makes me so happy again.
Mio and his sister lived as strays around an apartment complex.
My friend's ex-husband used to feed them but the super had threatened to bring them to the pound ( and ours has a very high kill rate ), so I decided to help. His sister Minouche is an office cat now where I work, and Mio came home with us, had his medical, was fixed all within 2 days.
Bio: First, Mio was quite shy around our other cats, but not with me. He took his place in my bed, same spot Mipo used to sleep in but he was a tad skittish with the rest of the family.
These days he plays with Quincy a lot, and they wrestle and there's little fur mice all around the house.
He had a herpes ulcer in one eye, but it has healed up, is just a little blurred still. He gained 2 Pounds in 7 weeks after we took him in. For the herpes, I give him Lysine in his food. The funniest sight is when he and Quincy sit on the window and watch the raccoons at night! With new things he is very timid, that's why we call him little Shy Hulud ( from the movie Dune ).
Right now I am trying to get him used to the kitty harness, so he can join Quincy outside in spring, on the leash of course.

as you know, I had been in the hospital a few weeks ago. They shaved both my forepaws, for the iv.
I have been a little embarassed, and mom has been calling me "Poodle Paws". But now I proudly wear them in solidarity with my dear friend Hooch! He is in the hospital right now, and PLEASE! Everykitty who reads this, please send him maximum purrs!

it's a little rainy, not much, but I am sitting by the window, watching the birds. Mom has put a feeder right outside the window where the cat tree is, for kitty entertainment.
As it often is, here on the Pacific Coast, it will probably clear up later in the day. Now the grass is still wet, but I just saw Bearly walking by, on his morning patrol. He looks funny with his shaved belly ( sniggers ).
This afternoon I will go to the doctor to have my blood checked one more time, mom was hesitant if I really needed it, as I am doing so well, completely normal, but she just doesn't want to take a chance.
so much for this morning, I will now check how my friends Hooch and Muppet are doing. They have health problems are dear to my heart, and I want to make sure they're on the right track to becoming well again.
I hope I will see many friends on Sunday, at my brother Stumpy's wedding to the lovely Cathy, his English Rose. Due to the US/European time difference it will be at 1 pm Pacific time.
I am doing fine, guys.
Mom and Dad went to the lake for 4 days last week, and left me in the care of the pink skin sister. She is a very good kitty caretaker and the actual mom of our Maneki. Since she moved home for summer, Maneki is staying with us as well.
I have no symptoms, and mom says she can't believe I could eat Easter Lily leaves and get away with it.
Please do not attempt the same stupid stunt my dear friends.
I'll have to go for another kidney test next week. We even have found a way to get me to the vet without me having embarrassing eliminations from all my orifices ( blush )
If mom drives no faster than 20 mph, I am doing fine, with just minimal singing of protest songs, but no gastro-intestinal upheavals.
