What a Weekend!

So, yeah, that was pretty rough. It took dad awhile to coax me out of the carrier when we got home. But I think I was pretty good considering the circumstances.

I used the litter box right away, which made dad happy. But on Monday morning, I had a little "accident" in the bed, right through the sheets and onto his leg. Now he knows to tell me "No!" when he sees me scratching the sheets and send me onto the floor to use the litter box. Let's hope that works. Seems to be a morning only problem.

I like to run under the dresser _whenever_ dad leaves the room. I dunno why I go there (it's cold and dusty) but it makes me feel safe, I guess. But I purr whenever I see dad's face peeking under. Dad had to trick me by putting me under a sheet and taking me to the living room so he could watch the Super Bowl. Sneaky dad!

You can pet me all you want, but I don't like being picked up very much. Pet me 10 seconds, then play with me, and repeat. That'd be perrrfect. And I never get tired! When he busts out that string, I'm like Michael Jordan. I even stick my tongue out.

I don't remember what happened when dad went to work on Monday. All I remember is sliding under the bottom sheet (it was half-off because of my accident) and sleeping there until dad came home. I think I was in there the whole time!

One week to go!

One week before I go home--should be on Friday (Feb 3rd). Oh, geez, the anticipation! Check out the new pics. Look at my cute lil golden feet.

The other day I was a Catster Daily Diary Pick. So that makes that, plus Diary of the Day a few weeks ago. Now I just need to be Cat of the Day/Week! That'd be cool.

So pops has everything pretty much set now. Even a laser pointer. He can't wait to see me go bananas with it. We just need a bed, some dry food, and maybe a collar (anyone else notice the lack of nice, stylish collars/harnesses for cats?). Some more toys wouldn't hurt, either.

Catster Diary of the Day!

I was elected to be the Catster Diary of the Day. Woohoo! Thanks whoever arranged that. Guess I better keep it up, huh?

Daddy added a new picture of me. It's the one on the bottom. Look at how big I'm getting! I'm the biggest out of 12 kittens!

I've created a new Catster group, just for us Cornish Rexs. It's called Simply Rex--check it out! (http://catster.com/group/grp_page.php?g=250) We were surpised that there wasn't one already created. Thanks go out to everyone who joined. We have nearly half of all the CRexs on Catster (there's about 60 of us total).

On a less happy note, daddy called his mom today and gave her a link to my Catster page so that she could see me. You know what she said? "That's one ugly cat--it looks like an alien! Hahahahaha. Look at those huge ears! HAHAHA!" Daddy's mom is sooo mean! He assures me that she's just kidding and will love me when she actually meets me. We'll see.

Counting the days

A little over 2 weeks before I go home with daddy. Whoot! I'm so psyched that I'm about to pull the little amount of hair I have out soon.

I hear daddy just bought me one of those fancy schmancy bent plywood feeders they sell at postmodernpets.com. Man, those are nice! He also got me one of those ultimate scratching posts. Forget carpeting, sisal is the way to go. He even got me kitty cat grass! Too bad he couldn't find the one made by Chia. The Sylvester and Tweety planter is really cute. Next time, he says.

But where's the toys? Me wants the preciousss toysss. Maybe he'll get me one of those laser thingies. You know ... I have one simple request ... and that is to have mice with freakin' laser beams attached to their heads! That would rock.

Can't wait!

I can't wait to go home with daddy. My breeder won't let me go, because she says I'm still too young. Pffft. I'm a big girl now!

It's been tough growing up in a NYC apartment with sooo many brothers and sisters! Can't wait to move up to the North Pole ... oops, I mean Inwood. I hear that daddy's place is huge and that there's lots of parks and birdies to look at. I will probably be lonely up there, but dad says he'll bring home some company "soon." Maybe my real mommy will have some more babies, and I can have a new little sister to pick on.
