I was rescued when I was a wee kitten. My first owner died and the paramedics saved me and my brothers. One of the paramedics was friends with an art professor at Augusta State University and he left me and my family with her. She brought us to the art studio so we could be adopted by her students. I was the last to go because I loved hanging around the studio, sitting on the shoulders of the professor.

A house with stairs

Well, we've been in the house for over a year now. Mommy promises that we'll never move again. We'll see about that!

My favorite place in my new house is the window seat in the kitchen. I can watch all of the horrible children on their way to school in the morning. I also enjoy looking at the birds in the mesquite tree just outside the window.

Although I still hate the stairs, I am happy to report that I am now a very slim kitty.

There's another new "cat" in the house. I use quotation marks because the cat is very dog-like. Still, she is all black like me, and despite her annoying puppy traits, she is rather innocent and easy to get along with.

For my birthday I had part of a marshmallow peep and some Fancy Feast. I told mom that I wanted the whole peep, but she wouldn't give it to me, even though it was my birthday!

moving... again!

Hello my beautiful friends!

It has been a while since I blogged, I know. I have no excuse other to say that my life is soooo busy these days. I have to constantly baby sit my little sister Mo. What a pest! She is always getting into things. I honestly don't know what my humans see in her. I'm also busy catching up on my beauty sleep. I feel like I am always behind...

My house is filled with boxes. We're moving again. Ugh! The humans say we're moving soon and I hear them talking about stairs. I'm not looking forward to it, but Mo is. Then again, she looks forward to EVERYTHING. Ah well, having the boxes around is nice and at least we won't have to move again after this.

Ciao bellas!

mmmm.... cat chow. I miss it so, but it is horrible for my figure.

Winter Fur

My humans say that I have lost 1.8 pounds, meaning I now way 17 pounds. Apparently, I have lost 10% of my body weight. It has been so hard! My humans, however, got me a pet Mo so that I would exercise more, and I must say it has helped quite a bit.

Mo drives me crazy! She is always pouncing me, licking my ears, and stealing my food (she doesn't know it's diet food). Sometimes, she is cute though, even though she is very bad. I try to teach her how to be a good kitty. In fact, she only listens to me and ignores the wishes of the humans. Perhaps she is learning faster than I thought!

Life in the Pink Palace is good, despite Mo. I get to snuggle the humans on the giant new bed they purchased for me. The enjoy lounging, watching the thing called television, and I take advantage of that time to purr on their bellies.

It has been cold out and my winter fur has been coming in. There is less sun, but that is ok, I soak up as much as I can, and then demand treats (or steal Mo's).
