Arrival Story:
My best friend and I were walking around the neighborhood when we found Malaki sitting in the middle of the street. I bent down and he ran right up to me. I knew he was meant to be mine. We noticed that he kind of made a snoring sound and he wouldn't meow. He was very sick and my mom wanted me to get rid of him until she realized how much Mallie meant to me. I ended up keeping him and taking to him to the vet where we found out he had Feline Leukemia [the #1 cat killer]. Unfortunately, we could not afford all of the treatments. We decided to make Malaki's last days as best we could. It was hard taking care of him. We had to cover EVERYTHING with towels since his nose was always running. I noticed he had quit eating and started giving off a fowl odor. His fur had gotten matted from snot, so I decided to give him a bath. You could see every bone in his body. That's when I knew it was time to put him to rest peacefully. Malaki follwed me everywhere and always loved for me to rub him. I believe we found each other for a reason and I know I made his last days enjoyable. I will never forget my baby Mal.

Bio:
Malaki was only with us for a year but he will always be in my heart. RIP Mal- 2/24/05
