Arrival Story:
I used to work at the Polkadog Bakery in Boston, its a super cool store for dogs and cats, specializing in healthy all natural foods and treats. We often donated food, blankets and other supplies to the shelter down the road, the Animal Rescue League of Boston (very cool people) and a coworker had gone over there to drop off some stuff, when he came back he told me they had a whole bunch of kittens. I had just lost my dog and was very lonely, but definitely not ready for the physical demands of another dog. I was just going to look, i swear, i wasnt going to bring one home! But i walked in and there was this tiny little blackish brown kitty sitting in a cage and she was just staring at me. I asked to see her and she just wanted to crawl all over my shoulders, her name at the shelter was trouble, but i thought to myself, she is sooo young, how could they possibly know what her personality was. I was smitten, i took her with me right away. I came home and my husband was on the couch, i said honey dont get mad! And i brought her in to the living room, he melted of course.

Bio:
She couldn't meow, she would open her mouth but nothing would come out. We ended up gettting her a buddy, Fiona, a Maine Coon, and she love to caterwaul for no reason, so penelope has finally learned how to meow, actually its more of a squeak, but she doesnt stop doing it! She is super affectionate, and although i dont have papers for her or a definite breed, she fits the breed profile of a Havana Brown to a T! the body, the color, and most importantly the personality! She has to investigate everything with her paws first, she tries to pick my head up with her paws inthe morning to wake me up its the cutest thing ever, and she purrs so loudly that she just vibrates, and she LOVES to snuggle. im starting to think that she and i have a very unhealthy relaitonship because i wanted to skip my honeymoon because she couldnt come with me!
