Arrival Story:
I called the local vet and asked where he recommended I adopt a cat. He was taking care of a few kitties, whose care and boarding was being paid for by an anonymous donor who was known as a cat lover in her neighborhood and had received Boo on her doorstep. After a cloak-and-dagger phone interview with the anonymous donor, I was deemed a suitable cat mom for Boo.
Bio:
Of course, the vet didn't warn me until later that Boo is probably one quarter bobcat. This explains A LOT. And my aunt, who trains animals, also warned that calicos are generally batshit crazy.
