Arrival Story: Well I found Stormy one day at the park when I was taking Clifford, my big lab/mix with me to the park for a walk. Well I saw Stormy following a pair of older ladies and stopped to tell them I've never seen anybodies cat follow them around, without a leash. Well I found out he was a stray so even though I doubted he would follow me I talked to him and he followed us but he stayed his distance even more than he did with the ladies before I think it's because of Clifford. Anyways we lived next door to the park and he just came home with us he use to be outdoor kitty but now he mostly indoor.
Bio: Stormy has lived with us 9 years, He was the king of the household until this last October, when he had to be put down due to his suffering was starting to get too much. Stormy enriched my life during the 9 years that he stayed with not only did I change his life, but in return he changed Mine. I never bonded with a dog like I did with my cat, He was my break from reality a getaway from my life that I needed. He brought me so much joy and happiness by just being a cat. He opened my eyes to cats because before I greatly misunderstood their ways as many people I knew have, but now I respect them and do not see them as the animals I saw before.
Stormy's previous life is somewhat a mystery to me, all I know is he didn't come from the feral cats that ruled the old barn neighboring our house but the fact some one dumped him in the park behind our house and that he had been there for some time. He was an outdoor cat before He picked me to go home with. He was cautious and made the indoor transition during the late summer, since he kept the dog company and he and Clifford became companions.
