going on a trip ALONE with us, being the centre of our attention, playing alone with us...
other cats in the house, jealous of other cats
paper balls, pointer/laser
Favorite Nap Spot:
laundry box, our bed, our pillow, curled up beside us
Hills, fresh grass, Gimpet cheese treats
plays fetch, she likes to jump on our shoulders and curls around our necks (like she is a scarf); follows us like a dog; likes to curl by my face and allows me to put my head on her
She and her sister Olga were born in our bedroom. We kept them both.
Zina gets along beautifly with any human, even with KIDS. That's why we often call her "the sold soul". Very affectionate, with sweetest temper. She wants all the attention to herself, and it doesn't matter from whom she gets it. If we would ever have to get rid of one of our cats, she would be the first one to go - not because we love her less, but because she would be easy to handle for everyone. Zina takes after her father (stray tomcat we used to call Sivko) regarding the colour. Bluish grey, but has her mother's yellowish-cream details all over. She is very tidy, and grooms herself (and us) all the time. If we put some cream on our hands or face, she MUST lick it away. She likes to sleep with us, on my side of the bed, curled in a special pose with her head in my hand and her butt in my nose. She's the first to greet us when we enter the apartment. Easily gets excited about the fact that we are finally home, than sings her "welcoming song". Likes to help a lot. Exquisit traveller. Not picky about the food.
Zina left us June 12th 2006. We gave her a merciful release. She suffered from feline hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which was discovered when her blood vessels were allready totally blocked and after she suddlenly lost the ability to move her hind legs.
More about the disease can be found here:
We are desperate about losing her, but feel lucky that we've enjoyed her company and her unique soul since the day she was born. We shared something special... and loved her deeply. And she loved us back with all her heart.
