Arrival Story:
Back in 1998, I was preparing to write a book and I wanted a lap cat. I went to the Santa Cruz SPCA and found a scrawny, flea infested kitten that I tried to resist, but I couldn't. I named him Myron because, well, he LOOKS like a Myron. Myron is famous now because he is featured in the book that I ultimately wrote. It is my memoris titled "The Lost Pet Chronicles: Adventures of a K-9 Cop Turned Pet Detective" by Kat Albrecht (available at amazon.com). You can read an excerpt from the book (about how I adopted Myron) on the Myron page at www.katalbrecht.com and click on KAT & CATS.

Bio:
Myron is a sweet, cuddly kitty who tolerates the antics and occasional bullying by Cheeto (also featured in Catster). Myron takes his job seriously. He is trained to wait quietly in a crate until he is "found" by a cat detection dog. Cat detection dogs are search dogs that LOVE kitties and are specifically trained to find lost cats. They are used by professional pet detectives (www.pethunters.com) who respond with other high-tech equipment to conduct physical searches for missing pets. Unlike target cat Cheeto, Myron doesn't have his own trading card. He has just not had all the media hype that has followed Cheeto because Cheeto hogs the camera. Myron is too humble to ask for his own trading card, so we would like to ask for him. Would you please make a tax deductible contribution to Missing Pet Partnership (www.lostapet.org - Missing Pet Partnership, P.O. Box 2457, Clovis, CA 93613) and help us print Myron cards? We use the cat (and search dog) trading cards to educate pet owners about the lost pet recovery tips on our web site. Your donation will support our mission to reunite lost cats (and other pets, even dogs) with their families while also honoring Myron and his work as a target cat. Just include a note with your check that you are donating money to help print Myron's trading card and we will mail you a Myron card once it is printed. Thank you!

I love warm laps. Yawn. Cheeto's a fat jerk. He pesters and bullies me - sometimes he bites hard until I scream.

Warm laps are good. Yawn. Night-night. Purrrrrrrr.
