Today is Chloe's 7th birthday and I want to shout out HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my first fur baby! So far she had some catmint leaves, treats and lot of kisses.
It is a nice warm day here so maybe when we get home, we will have a trip outside on her leash.
She has been so good with the new baby. Chloe is one sweetheart!
Hi everyone,
I know I haven't been around lately but we have had a busy 6 weeks! Mom brought home baby Elle and I have had a lot of looking out to do.
She doesn't smell too bad. Mom let me sniff her head. And she eats like a little piggy. Boy I wish I got that much food when I wanted it. She took over the second bedroom which was MY room. I still have my window perch in there and get to go in when Elle isn't sleeping in there. So I have taken over the computer room and mom and dad's bedroom.
Elle sleeps much better in that room, I should know it is the best room. Last night she slept 6 hours in a row. Mom was amazed and grateful. I am glad we aren't getting up every 2 hours like before. That was exhausting. Now I get up with mom, make sure Elle is full and then keep an eye out on the house. Mom laughs because by the time she eats lunch, I am sound asleep in my bed.
Mom said she really needs me because so much is going on lately and I have been a very good girl. Well, aside from waking her up every 2 hours for pets at night. Hey I am just getting her ready for the baby.
Besides being due in a couple of weeks, Grandpa Ed has an infection in his arm from an IV the hospital put in back in April. That whole mess could have been avoided if the new doctor didn't put him on an anit-rhythmic (sp?) drug. It made him cough so much he had to have hernia surgery. So, just when we think that is all done and taken care of he gets a swollen elbow.
On to the next..... Grandma gave mom the most beautiful baby shower a few weeks ago and the next day she broke her ankle. It was Grandpa Ed's birthday. She had surgery the next day on mom's birthday.
Now mom has to drive Grandpa Ed to the hospital to make sure his arm is okay. I need my mom for cuddling. I better get my purrs a going so when she gets home I will be ready for her!
