Arrival Story:
Gabriel came to me as Gandalf last year as a rescue from another city. The previous owners no longer wanted him when they got a new kitten. He was not well taken care of, but very, very affectionate. Instead of being a way-station, I chose to keep him. He's one of my most comforting companions.

I'm too sleepy for this entry, too sleepy for this entry, too sleepy for this... zzzzzzz.

*snort* Mrrow? Oh, yeah, congratulations, Helios, for being Catster's Diary of the Day!

Excuse me while I hibernate.

Let me tell you about my human.

She had a little tuxedo kitty last year who was very, very sick and died. My human had a huge broken heart for a long time because of this, but when a friend of hers asked if she'd like to take in a new cat, she did with joy in her heart.

My last humans weren't so nice. They hit me with the brush, kept me away from my food (when my human got me, I was wasting away) and didn't let me love them the way I wanted to. They got a kitten who didn't like me much, either, and before my human took me in, he tore my ear. Those old humans were going to take me to the pound because they didn't want me anymore - I was old at 5 and not much fun anymore. I would have been put to sleep if my human hadn't agreed to rescue me.

My human's friend drove up from Calgary with me curled up on the seat beside him. As soon as I met my new human and her other owner, Trinity, I knew I was safe and home. She let me come to her when I was ready and soon, her lap was my favourite place to be. She fed me and took time to show me that a brush could feel oh-so-good. Now, I love to lie on my back on the floor and let her brush away. I don't run anymore.

I wish my human could spend more time at home, I miss her.
