indoors Arrival Story: My husband and I moved out of an apartment and into our house on Thanksgiving week of 1995. I have always wanted a Main Coon cat and we thought it would be neat to find a black one and name it Stovepipe to go with our Icebox (white cat) . In June 1996, my stepdaughter called and had us come over. "Set Up!" She handed me this little tiny black kitty from a neighborhood litter and said "Here's a Stovepipe". She was the sweetest thing, and there was a "Stovepipe". Stovepipe never grew into a big kitty. She was so tiny, very quite, and very much the loner. Although she hated being picked and touched, if it was ' her' idea to get on your lap - she purred like a motorboat and did the knead thing as your petted her. At the age of 9 (2005), Stovepipe was diagnosed with oral cancer and she is no longer with us. Forums Motto: Do Not Ruffle My Fur
