The Seven Random Facts about Me

Thank you, Leo, Dave and Chey-chey for tagging me about this fun meme. Here's how it goes:

Rules

Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write on their own blog about the seven things and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your blog!

Seven Random Facts About Me:

1. First of all, I am a lady.

And a cute one at that. This is despite my ferocious name. I walk daintily, I tilt my head just so to maximize cuteness without sacrificing elegance, and I sit prettily for any picture I want, when I want.

2. Donny is my clean-up crew.

Being a lady, I hate to dirty my paws at any time. This means I have a distaste for touching the contents of the litterbox (for good reason, don't you think?). Sure, I go through the motions after doing my business, but mostly I like to scratch the edge of the litterbox a little *just* to show it wasn't for a lack of trying and then jump away from the smelly mess. With a swish of my tail, I summon Donny over to cover it up. Sometimes, he is too efficient though....sometimes, I'm not quite done yet - and he's already trying to cover it up!!!

3. My mommy thought I was unable to talk when I was a kitten.

At first, she thought I was "dumb" (ie. can't talk) b/c for almost a year I didn't say a peep. But then when it was almost a year, I developed a wide range of chirps, peeps and meows. Oh yeah, and of course, growls, hisses and screams when I need to be the Defender! ;) I have gone from the quietest kitty to the most vocal one. I even talk to mommy when I protest! But that's for the next point....

4. I am the most rebellious kitty.

Perhaps you may find this hard to believe with my good looks, cute demeanour and ladylike elegance...but it's true! Of course, I maximize my advantages for my objectives, but sometimes mommy just won't let me have my way! So when all else fails, I am totally going for it. Mommy has counted one time that she said "NO" six times before I would stop. And even then - that was only a pause in my quest to have it my way! When finally she succeeds in stopping me, I *must* have the last word, complaining loudly as I walk away....

5. I love to groom....everykitty and everyone!

Grooming is my hobby and my way of expressing love...and sneaking in my domination, hehehe! As a kitten, I constantly groomed Donny whenever we hung around, sleeping, sitting...even if we happened to be walking by each other. When Casey finally accepted me and let me join her in hanging around, I would groom only if she let me....and she would let me know. Mommy and daddy I also "groomed"; I lick my mommy's hand every morning when I jump on the bed to greet her.

6. Although I am a white kitty with blue eyes, I can HEAR.

Listening, however, is another story. My listening is *very* selective. ;)

Right from the time of adoption, pple kept saying that I could be deaf, or that I was deaf. THEY ARE WRONG. I can hear very well, thank you very much. Mommy tested my hearing by clapping here and there behind her back (where I couldn't see her hands)...and I immediately turned my ears to the direction of the sound. When she did this a few times in different places and I turned my ears to each of those directions, she knew I could hear.

7. I bring my fuzzy jingly balls up to the top of the stairs and drop them.

For a while, I enjoyed doing that every night right after my parents went to bed. At some point, I figured out that if I dropped my balls from the top of the stairs, they would bounce down the stairs and I could chase them down. How fun!

So that's a little bit of randomness about me. I want to tag the following kitty furriends to do this meme!!

Happy Mother's Day!

I managed to sneak a picture of me and my Mommy. She is doing serious "work work" for her job on the laptop (work issued). I am doing one of the things I do best, to lean on her and sleep on her.

Mommy doesn't like having her picture taken and especially does not like having it shown on the internet....but since it was Mother's Day and I really really wanted a picture of the both of us...she gave me the only picture of us together. She usually likes to take pictures OF me, not WITH me, MOL!!

Anyways, I luff my mommy for working to give me food and toys and treats. I luff my mommy for giving me hugs and petting me and being there for me when I am scared (rarely) or very angry and upset. I luff my mommy the most though for letting me lean on her anytime, sleep on her anytime. She is always there for me.

Happy Mother's Day to all the cat mommies out there who also do so much for their kitties. We luff you so!

Today's Diary Pick yesterday...hehehe!

Wow, that title didn't make a whole lot of sense now...did it???

Anyways, I just found out that I was one of Today's Diary Picks for May 4 - that was yesterday. How exciting was that?!

Good timing too, coz the diary entry that was featured was about my guestbook and my blog!

And now - I have my own blog. Thanks to Luxor, who asked if I have a blog....I decided that, yes, I would like to blog. I would like to share a little about myself...and have a fancy looking site about me, heh.

Purring for Toulouse

I just heard that Toulouse is sick. Very sick.

I am in shock. I have been purring and hoping that he will get better.

Will you purr with me and purr and purray for his mommy and Toulouse?? I purray that Toulouse will get better.....

What's with the New Nickname?

So, you may be wondering what is going on with the my new nickname. Well, there have been a couple of incidents which I am VERY proud to say, I defended my home very thoroughly. *puffs up chest* Please let me explain....

It started last summer, when daddy's aunt and uncle came to stay with us during their vacation. They brought their King Charles Spaniel puppy - only 8 months old - to stay with us too. How dare this puppy come into MY territory!! I just had to do something to show that dog....Casey and Donny were already hiding under the bed, b/c aunt and uncle were strangers and my siblings just didn't feel very sociable at that moment. So I tore out of the room, hair on end, hissing and screaming at the puppy.

He took to his paws and ran. I chased him across the second storey of the house, down the stairs and through the main floor too. But mommy stopped me. Uncle came and got the puppy too. Mommy saw my hair stand on end so straight...she could see my pink skin underneath. Boy, was I ever mad!!!!

So that's when mommy started calling me Defender of the Empire, MOL!!

Mommy finally had to change my name tho, b/c daddy told her another brave story about me. :)

Daddy said he heard some hissing noises and thought poor Casey was being beat up by Donny. He came to take a look...instead, he saw Casey and Donny sitting side by side, watching me hiss and growl at a window. Daddy couldn't understand why I was doing my "angry dance" in front of a window until he saw the furriendly neighbourhood orange tabby tom sitting there and TAUNTING me!! Wow, did I ever want to get at him! Grrrr!!

Hence, the name change. Hehe, kinda like it, myself. :)

I'm one of today's Daily Diary Picks!

Wow!! Thanks Catster!! First you give me an early Christmas Day present by making me Cat of the Week in December.....and now today I'm one of the Diary Picks!!

I'm so happy!!! I love you Catster!!

I can't believe I missed such a special occasion!

I wasn't able to make the Valentine's Day Party at LLS on Friday nite, and I wish I did!!

Donny my bro proposed and is engaged to Cloud! I am so happy for them, and I can't wait to have such a fun sister-in-law!

My week is an early Christmas present

Well, my week is drawing to a close. I have never had so much fun in my life! I've been zipping around and around and around! And we have been enjoying so many treats and playing!

Thank you everyone again for your kind words, your pmails, rosettes, stars, friend requests. This has been a magical week...a truly wonderful early Christmas present!

I can't wait to see who will be the Catster's Christmas Cat of the Week tomorrow....such a special kitty! Good luck to all!

I can't believe it....I'm Catster's Cat of the Week!

On Thursday night, I logged into Catster like I usually do, and then check my pmails...the first thing I always do. Imagine my surprise at getting all these pmails, congratulating me on being Cat of the Week. At first, I didn't even think it was the Catster one...I thought it was from some of the many Catster groups of which I am a part. I was excited...but imagine my even greater excitement when I raced to the Catster home page...to see my very own blue eyes and white fur staring out from the Cat of the Week!

This is like a dream come true! Thank you Catster! *dances and prances around*

I also want to thank all of you kitties for the many pmails and stars and rosettes and treats in celebrating with me this week. You guys are all too sweet! Thank you so much!

I am so very happy to make many new friends and to hear from friends who I have had a chance to chat with in a while! I hope over time to catch up with all of you!

Since Thursday nite, I have been so excited that I've been running around and climbing the walls and buzzing all over! Casey has already started giving me a new nickname: Zippy Marie! MOL!

Anyways, I am so honoured to be chosen, and I thank you Catster, thank you my friends, thank even the kitty gods...whoever however whatever it happened that I became the COTW.

I'm so very happy. : )

I am so happy that Ramses asked me to be his girlfriend! : D

I knew him (though not personally!) from the flickr days. When proud mommies posted pictures of their cats and showed them off in flickr cat groups and got to talking about all kinds of stuff. I would hover nearby and check out the kitties and noticed Ramses.

He was tall, handsome and regal. He was stunning. And I was intimidated...it's easy to be a little shy of everything when you're only 3 months old!! Plus what would an adult cat want to do with a precocious kitten like me??? So I admired him two inches away from the computer screen on flickr and left it at that.

But to find that he has in fact always found me pretty from when I was a little kitten...! I was flabbergasted! I would never have guessed that he even noticed me at all....

I feel very very lucky indeed. I have felt lucky ever since.

Me and Donny celebrated our first birthday on Tuesday August 15. Mommy didn't buy us any new toys or treats (as we have a ton of both!), but she did feed us this new canned cat food "Innova Evo". Have you heard of it? It was so very tasty! Me and Donny and Casey gobbled it all up.

Talking about our birthday though...do you know what our best bday present was? CASEY!! Our big siamese/tonkinese sis finally decided that it could be fun to play chase with us! Not only does she let us chase her....she will chase us around too! It's quite the challenge, as we have stubby legs, and big sis Casey has the elegant long limbs of her siamese ancestors.

Anyways, mommy's been back at work part time for 3 wks, and she keeps saying that it's really kicking her butt to be working again. A big adjustment I guess. It sure was for us! For 4 months, we've been used to feeding on demand, attention on demand, going outside on demand, etc. We need our slave (mommy) back!!!

Anyways, mommy is always so exhausted after work, and hasn't been on the computer much. Doesn't look like that will change anytime soon...maybe at least a month. That is very sad, as I miss all of my friends, but esp my bestest Whitester girlfriends Leinani and Icebox. And of course our illustrious Pure White Kitty Club leader Mickey Mantle!

Today, mommy brought over some work friends in the morning. Apparently they had just attended a funeral for one of their colleagues' mommy. Mommy didn't cry (of course) but felt a great deal for her colleague, as she knew her colleague and his mommy struggled for a year dealing with her deteriorating health.

However, mommy bringing over all these pple was so great! Once I got over my fear of so many pple in the house at once, I saw all these black shoes and black pants and thought this is so very awesome! I can TOTALLY make my mark on the world! So I did....by rubbing up against EVERY pant leg I saw, making sure I act all cute to distract them from my real purpose:

WORLD DOMINATION VIA WHITE FUR...ONE PANT LEG AT A TIME.

hehehehehehehehehehehe!!!!

Well, I guess that this month's update, since I won't be around till next month, it seems! Have a good one!

I need a break

I am taking a break from the Catster forums and social events.

Actually I won't be much on Catster, except to participate in some of the groups that I am in. Which is what I always meant to do anyway. But mommy is preparing to go back to work next week after being on sick leave for 3 months. Between that, and Catster, and a few online things in which she is involved, and of course all the home things means she is a busy lady.

The stress of juggling so many things has already caused her bp to go up for the first time since her surgery. Not cool obviously. As a result, something's gotta give. I'm sad it'll have to be this. : (

Because I won't be as much on Catster, the messaging has been suspended too, b/c I don't want pple waiting forever for a reply.

I will miss all of you....but I hope to continue connecting with you in the various groups with which I'm involved.

I got interviewed!

I feel special today because I had an interview with Aldo at the Kitties Club "Show Room"

The interview was 4 hours long!!! But it was lots of fun, with many interesting questions being asked of me. I was so nervous at first - I've never been to an interview before! But Aldo made me feel comfortable and chatted with me so I felt at ease. I also felt better knowing that my sweetie Toulouse and good friend Cheyanne were there to support me and Chey was so cute - she burst in on the interview to totally agree with me about love and being happy is all that matters. She is a sweet kitty and her outburst sure made the interview a lot of fun too!

I want to thank Twixy and Aldo for having such a neat show. I can't wait to hear all about Orca the killer kitten.

I also want to thank all the kitties in the Kitties Club who voted for me, it was quite an honour to be selected for interview!

I am the Social Cats' Club Kitty of the Day!

I feel so honoured to be picked as the Club's Kitty of the Day for today, Thurs July 6, there are so many kitties - so many very deserving kitties I might add - and then to find out from so many kitties I was picked!!!

I really like this Social Cats' Club, there are so many kitties, and some of them turn out to be kitties that I know! I went to my very first party too at the Social Cats' Club, it was for an early Independence Day celebration. Truman, who is the administrator of the Club, sure knows how to throw a good party. There were so many kitties, I was a bit intimidated at first. But then there were so many friendly kitties, and Toulouse was always there to look out for me.

Anyways, thank you Truman for picking me as the Kitty of the Day at the Social Cats' Club!
