Arrival Story:
Hershey was a rescue. We fostered him for awhile and then he was adopted by a great family. He just would not adapt to the gentle dogs in their household. I picked him up, brought him home, and he walked thru the house and went straight to our bed for a nap like he had never left. He was so happy with us and our cats like him so much we decided to just let him stay. He is a great kitty and we are glad to have him.

Bio:
Hershey has always limped slightly, favoring his right rear leg. Initial check by a vet months ago indicated that he would probably improve if he was kept from being too active. There was always this nagging doubt, though, and Hershey went back to the vet for x-rays. It appears that at some point in his early life he had fractured the femoral neck on his right hip, and the rubbing together of bone has been a constant source of pain. Hershey had surgery to remove the bone fragment on Friday, January 13, 2006. He has healed well, and is definitely the wild and crazy boy he was always meant to be!
