Likes:
The bugs thank God she does not have wings, though she would like to try. She loves to go outside and look for lizards or bugs to play with. One day she even brought in a live snake which I quickly dispatched back outdoors!

Pet-Peeves:
If there is nothing in the food bowl she will come and get me and cry and cry or if she is not allowed to go outside when she wants to. If Daddy is outside she does not like it, so she will come to me and complain about him being in her space.

Favorite Toy:
We own a tattered but mended light blue fleece stuffed mouse which is thrown up high and caught and agressively tortured! What a hunter!

Favorite Nap Spot:
She has her very own pillow and pillowcase above my pillow on the Master bed. She has her own bed (a Moses basket with pink baby receiving blankets in it) but prefers to sleep close to Mommy!

Favorite Food:
Chicken Lovers dry food for cats

Skills:
She is a keen hunter and loves to get you to place chase with her.

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
A co-worker was going to get 2 cats from a dealer just before Christmas and asked if I wanted one sight unseen. Something came over me and I said YES. My other babies had recently gone to heaven. I did not ask Daddy, cause he would have said no. When I first saw her I was in love. She was ill from the trip and cost about $500.00 to recover but she is a doll. Oh, Her name is Contessa Taillessa because...she is Royalty and has no tail!

Bio:
She comes when I call her! I know children that do less! She is a good girl and usually does not make a mess of anything. If she sees a bug flying in the house, she will climb on the furniture as high as she can and cry for it to come play with her.

Forums Motto:

Aloha my sweet baby girl

1-21-09,
Today my sweet baby girl, only 6 years old, went to be held by Jesus before 9:00 AM. She is getting to see her PawPaw Marion and Uncle Jim who went there last year.
She began a fight last January with a neurological defect that caused her to loose the awareness that her bladder was emptying. We thought it was under control with some compounded medicine. She felt confused and ashamed that puddles kept popping up everywhere she lay. I was never angry with her for it, but tried with medicines and specialists all over Houston, TX to get her help.

Let me tell some things about that I do not want to ever forget:

When she first came to me as a teeny kitten, she invented a game of chase with me. She would do a "Meow" and a little head nod to one side, as if saying "come on, lets play." She was cute that way. she would come when I called her too!

She would quiver with excitement and pleasure when she saw a bug/frog/lizard/snake that she thought she might play with. Holding her at that time- you could feel her thrill!

Tessa liked classical music. She would sing along - even when her Daddy Jim was playing a cheap little flute!

She would always be by my side to keep me company as I worked in the office on the computer. She would even jump up onto the desk as if I needed her help more.

If you were ill or had a bad day, she would climb up into your lap or lay beside you to make you feel better. She was a good comforter!

She would not go to bed until we did. You could tell sometimes, she was thinking..."come on, I am tired." Of course, she slept in the bed with us! The past few months she has been staying closer to us that usual. OMG I will miss you so much. I am so heartbroken. I cannot believe she is gone.

I want to thank my vet, Dr. Dennis Mangum at Spencer Animal Hospital for being so kind to us always. And to all the breeders who called and wrote me regarding her problem. I wish we could have done more for her.

And finally, thank you CATSTER for giving me a way to tell you all about our precious little girl.

Aloha does not mean Goodbye forever! It is a spirit of love from the Islands.

Meow there,
Just though I'd check in and let you all know I am doing FINE! I can eat now and Meowmy does not give me any drugs AT ALL! She has bought me a few new baby blankets to lounge upon. I no longer leak tee-tee everywhere. Boy, was that embarrassing! I am back sleeping on my own pillow above Meowmy's head on the master bed at night. I have my own bed...but I like sleeping with her and Daddy. I caught a lizard yesterday but I brought in in to show Meowmy and it got loose under the love seat and I could not find it. Oh well, I'll just have to get another one, or perhaps a frog! They are so cute the way they jump around. I really get excited about that!

Toodles!
