The summer of 1999, this very friendly cat started hanging around our house. We would see him out there trying to hunt for his dinner. Every time we stepped outside, he was right there rubbing against our legs, hence the name. He was very skinny and covered in ticks, so we started feeding him and treated him for the parasites. He also had not been neutered, so we took care of that. He lived on our front porch all summer until it started getting chilly. We decided to invite him in for good.
Trip is a very laid back kind of kitty. There isn't anything that we could do to him to upset him. He is my self-appointed guardian and will stand guard all night if I am home alone. We have never regretted our decision to bring him into our home.

A couple of weeks ago, Meowmy somehow snuck another kitty into the house. I must have been busy dreaming or something because I'm usually more observant. Anyway, it was the day before that day they call Thanksgiving. I wondered why she kept going into the spare room, closing the door, and staying in there by herself for a long time. Finally, the next day, I ran in there before she could stop me and there was this funny looking white thing with one blue eye and one gold inside a cage. Man he's freaky looking. I kind of felt sorry for him so I decided to be nice. He kept hissing at me and smacking me in the face through the bars, but since he couldn't hurt me with no claws on those paws, I just let him do it. I kept thinking, "just wait until you feel what's on the end of my paws, mister".
The day after that, they let him out of the cage and what does he do? He jumps right on top of me. Well, his 10 lbs. is nothing compared to my 20 so, I let him have some fun for awhile until he started getting out of hand. Then I had to let him know who was the real boss (well, besides Meowmy and Daddy). Meowmy keeps telling me it will be good to get some exercise and he (they call him Gus) sure does give me a workout. He is almost non-stop. Meowmy says he's still a kitten and will eventually outgrow it. I hope so.
Punky doesn't like him but she doesn't like anybody, not even me. And Moo won't wrestle with him even though Moo needs more exercise than I do. I guess he's alright, but I just hope that the next time Meowmy checks with me first before bringing anybody else home.
