Sad news. Marty, King of the Jungle and most ferocious Jungle Cat in the World, was put to sleep Monday August 14th. When the vet looked at him, he said that his wound was not going to heal, and that anything else they tried to do for him would only prolong his suffering, and so he is now free to rule over that Great Catnip Jungle in the Sky.

We prayed to let him go peacefully and prayerfully and that prayer was answered.

Dr. Craig Tebeau from the Cat Doctor in Federal Way came to our house. He was so gentle and kind. I held Marty while he was sedated. My husband, Mother, and daughter and I told stories about Marty. Then he was laid on a blanket for the final shot.

We buried him in the backyard when my son came home. We planted several catnip plants around the rock placed on his grave.

So all you kitty friends are invited to come and enjoy the catnip.

Thank you for your prayers for Marty.
Love, his people Mom

I was up on the roof and I wouldn't come down!

Yesterday was a most amazing day. Mommy let me out on the deck. Usually she stays to watch me but she said she was busy. She left the door open so Misty and I could come in or go out.

When nobody was looking I jumped up on the rail and then went out on the roof! Nathaniel came looking for me but he couldn't find me. They went looking all over the house and in the back yard, but I was on the roof! Ha ha!

I really was a wild kitty, a crazy kitty!

My Daddy tells a joke about a man who went on vacation leaving his cat with a neighbor. The man calls the first night and asks how everything is and the neighbor says "Your cat died"

The man says, you don't just tell me that like that. You should have said "your cat's on the roof and he won't come down" and then everynight, tell me what happened next until eventually you tell me he died.

the punchline is, the man asks "how's Grandma?" and the neighbor says, "Grandma's on the roof and she won't come down."

They say I was acting it out. Which is sort of not funny because some of you know I have cancer! But having adventures like this shows I'm not really ready to go up on the roof and not come down.

Nathaniel took my picture on the roof and hopefully, we'll put it on.

I stayed out in the garage the other day. My family lets me do more stuff than they used to like go on the back deck, or go in the garage, and sometimes Mommy carries me outside.

My bump is really big now. But so far, so good.

I sleep on the futon downstairs almost all day. It's cool down there and comfy too.

Keep praying for me and my family.
