On November 30th, 2005, Mom loaded me into the cat carrier. I was scared...I didn't want to leave my brothers and sisters and our home...Mom must have seen that I was scared. She leaned over and whispered to me,"It's going to be okay Blue II. This morning you will leave here a kitten, but tonight when you come home you will be a young man. Don't be scared honey, it won't be too bad..."
Soon Mom left me at the Hospital. The nurse told Mom to pick me up around 5 in the evening. She said good bye to me, and with that she was gone. It was a strange place. There were all kinds of cats, kittens like myself, and dogs, and puppies. Some of the animals I had never seen before, so I don't even know what they were! I was still scared, wondering what they were going to do to me!
Before long, the nurse took me into the Doctor who was waiting for me in the Operating Room. They poked me with something, and before I could count to 10, I was fast asleep.
When I woke up quite awhile later I was fine! Hey, I was still alive! I was perfectly fine except for I felt pain down there (You know where). Another male that was older told me that I had been "neutered". It meant that I would never be a Daddy cat. That is fine with me, because I don't even have a girl friend yet, and I might never marry a feline anyway!
I mostly slept the rest of the day. Then the nurse came in and told me that it was time to get into the cat carrier, that my Mom was here to get me. Boy, was I glad to see her! I never made a sound all of the way home in the car. Usually I nervously meow. Mom took me inside, and put the carrier close to the wood stove so that I could stay warm. That was fine with me. I had some more sleepin' to do!
The next day was pretty much the same. I slept most of the day. Ruby kept asking me to come out of the carrier and play, but I just didn't have it in me! I wasn't walking like I was drunk anymore, but I was still a little shaky.
On the 3rd day I chased Ruby a little. That made her happy.
On the 4th day I was 100% back to my old pre-surgery self! I began chasing Ruby and EJ all over the house! Nonstop practically! Now that I have fully recovered, everything is back to normal. Two of my friends even sent me Rosettes during my recovery. Now that is the sign of a true friend! Thanks again guys!
Well, that's all for now. I'll write again later when I have more time.
Purrs to You,
