Arrival Story:
Here we go again, I know, I know! ;-) Well we were in our local Pet Smart store on our weekly trip for supplies when I made the mistake of going by the adoption center there. There she was, one of the most beautiful torties I had ever seen and sick. She had been there several weeks and hadnt been adopted. While there she developed a very bad cold. The humane society was due to pick her up the next day. Being a "kill" shelter, we all know what that means to a sick cat. Well that was unacceptable to me, so I scooped her up, filled out the necessary paperwork and the rest is history! Chloe is a very loving cat with a super personality. I do believe she had been abused at some point because she is extremely head shy and cowers if you try to pet her head, ears or neck area. She's getting better about it though. Lots of love & patience is what she needs, and I've got plenty to spare. Last month - March 2007 - we lost Chloe due to kidney failure. She will be missed so very much.
