Arrival Story:
A co-worker of mine came in for about 2 weeks straight announcing her cat had kittens and she needed to find homes for them. Finally after continuous begging, my boyfriend allowed me to get one. The day she brought her in the office, I fell in love. Her colors were so beautiful and at the time she had bright blue eyes that reminded me of an angel. I had already picked out the name prior to ever seeing her, but now that my sweetie pie has lived with me for 2yrs, I wouldn't have wanted to name her anything else :)

I had clumps - now I have....ACNE!!

Ahhhhh ok so a few days ago my mommy finally decided to clip off the small "mats" I had in my hair...since I've gained weight I've been able to clean less and less of my entire body and somehow after my last bath a few areas of my coat decided to clump and it was bothering me. Mommy clipped them off though and I feel wonderful.

The next day she decided to give me a bath with sensetive skin/coat shampoo to help with the dandruff that had built up because of the clumps...now my coat is all shiny and new. BUT When mommy was brushing me before my bath she noticed that I had this "dirt" stuff on my chin that resembled flea poopie. She got on Catster and a few other websites to discover it was non other than Feline Acne...how embarassing!!!

::Meows::

She rubbed my chin with warm water and soap and put some peroxide on it (as directed by Vet) and hopefully it will sustain until I go in for my yearly exam/check up.

I just want to wear a bag over my head :(

P.S. Rumor has it that plastic can be a culpret with the acne on the chin...and it just so happens my grandma bought me the Petmate Le Bistro Automatic Portion Control Feeder for Christmas to help w/ my diet and then daddy bought me the Drinkwell Pet Fountain...BOTH = PLASTIC!!!

I hope the vet says I can keep them....

It seems I cannot have my family all to myself for a good solid year!! At the beginning of this year I was accompanied by my nephew Flower due to his dislocated hip (which just an update - he's doing great and the Hip Action treates with Glucosamine/Chondrotin from www.zukes.com are helping tremendously) NOW - his brother Rambo is inside until next Wednesday when he moves away from us....I mean he doesn't bother me or anything but it does seem that Mommy is paying extra attention to him now. Come on lady - I had my claws taken out when I was spayed, you don't need to pamper him...if he's a strong kitty he can care for himself...::heh::

At night he's been sleeping in the laundry room - luckily he only does 2 small cries and then he stops when he realizes no one is coming to get him...(Thank goodness, Flower would cry for a loooooooooooong time)

I am happy to see he will be an inside kitty now though because he's usually the one who gets in all the fights with the stray cats telling them to get away from his food - but the result of that was if he got even the smallest scratch he would disappear for a couple of days and I know that worried mommy and daddy. Now he will be living in Alabama with his other brother, Lexy and our mommy's mom.

Enough of my whining

Well what can I say, sometimes I get tired of only seeing the bugs and birds but not getting to chase them. Yesterday while my family was making dinner I slipped into my Nana's bedroom and at the open window, I pushed out the screen. I ran and played in the woods, chased some bugs and was just minding my own business, after about 1hr of playing, mommy must have realized I was missing. I watched mommy, daddy, nana and pop look for me for 45 minutes...it was so funny they kept circling the house and mommy would pause several times because she thought she heard me...but then nothing!!

Finally I knew they were probably getting tired of looking for me, so I walked through the woods pretty quickly so they would hear the dead leaves, mommy caught a glimpse of me when she shined the flashlight my way and then nana went up in the woods behind me to try and hoax me back towards the house. BUT Mommy had the flashlight pointed at me so long that I didn't know it was nana coming towards me, I started howling, hissing and fluffing up my fur...but finally I got too scared and took off running to the house.

I got on the front porch and then daddy took a dive and grabbed me...I was kicking and howling at him too (I was just scared...or I think I was). As punishment they gave me a bath...AUGH I hated it, but I knew why I got one. Now I'm not allowed on Nana and Pop's side of the house...and when I'm in the room the windows are to be closed at all times (or at least shut small enough that I can't break out)

***I really just did that number because I'm tired of hearing American Idol every Tuesday night...but I will have to say I mean't to come back home before it was over because I love to watch HOUSE with mommy and daddy but oh well...
