It's almost fall...

You know what that means! Leaves to crunch in. Yay!

And costumes. Yuck!

But I heard a rumor that I'm getting some new contraption that will let me go outside - I'll post more when I know what I'm getting!!!

A word of warning!

If you have a stroller and if you like to take naps in it and if there are ever little people in your house...

Do NOT nap in your stroller when there's a little person running around your house! Last week my mom's friend brought her little boy over to play. Later in the day Mom realized she hadn't seen me in forever and she looked all around. But I'm a good hider so she wasn't worried.

However she should have been worried because that little person ZIPPED me inside my stroller and left me there! I was stuck in my stroller for HOURS!

So be careful!

Mom is Home!!!!!!!!!

I have the best news ever. Mom came home! She actually got to leave the hospital two days before Christmas so we had a GREAT Christmas after all! We didn't think she'd get to come home at all before the human kitten was born (he's due 2/12) but she seemed to be doing OK so the doctors let her come home.

And the best part is that she's not allowed to go back to work. So she's home with us all day every day.

At first I was stuck to her like velcro, especially that first night when I kneaded her about 7 different times. But now I'm acting normal again...

But I'm still glad to have her home with me! I really missed her.

Thank you to everycat who sent rosettes and messges. And I'm sorry I couldn't find the time to thank everycat personally. I just got a lot more Catster stuff done before when she was at work everyday!

My first daily diary pick!

Today I've been honored by being a daily diary pick. I'm so proud. And I'll be really honest - I could really use this honor since I've been pretty sad lately. Mom is back in the hospital having another problem with her pregnancy and nobody will say when she'll be coming home. I really miss her - I've even been sleeping on the bed at night with Dad and Lucy and Stevie, which I never do.

So thank you Catster for choosing me. And thanks to all of my friends for wishing me congratulations. Hopefully the next time I win something, it will be because of a happy diary entry!!!

I'm back

I just wanted to take a minute to apologize to any kitties who have not heard from me in awhile. My mom is the one who types for me and she's been really busy. She was in the hospital for a few days (but now she's fine and the human kitten brother that she's growing is fine too) but she's been working really hard at work so that she can go on something called maternity leave. I don't know what that is, but I think it means that she's going to be home with us during the day! So if working hard now means more time with mom, I'll let this working thing go.

So I'm sorry if I missed thanking anyone for a rosette or if I didn't respond quickly to something, but hopefully I'll do better now.

I hope that all of my friends had great Thanksgivings!

My new ride

See the photo above? That's my new ride! It came the other day and I jumped right into the bottom to be pushed around. I have not been outside yet, but I'm sure it's coming soon. It rides much more smoothly than my green one and I'm not as trapped in it because there's no zippers. It's very nice and I can't wait until we take it around the block.

Mom said something about having to share it with something called a baby, but I don't know what that means. Probably means that I can smell the birdies better or something. Can't wait to find out!

Middle name meme

I'm jumping on the middle name meme bandwagon. Here's stuff about me, to the tune of my middle name, Bort!

B - Biting - I don't really do this. My name makes me seem much more bitey than I am. I really only bite my siblings and covers on the bed. I'm very friendly, really!

O - Outside - I like to go outside. There was a small issue with me dashing out the door for awhile, but now that I have my stroller, I like to go out for walks with Mommy or Daddy.

R - Rolling - I like to roll around on the sunroom floor. Give me a patch of sunlight and/or some dirt and/or some NIP on the floor and I'll roll around for hours!

T - Toes - I have the cutest little white toes!

In the market for a new stroller

I'm asking for help from my strolling friends. Since I'm going to have a new human brother and sister by next spring/summer, I was wondering if there was a double stroller out there - with one spot for Bitey and one spot for Baby!!!

Has anyone seen such a contraption???

7 things about me

I've been tagged by my great friends Chloe and Hunter to do the 7 things about me meme. I'm a little late, 'cause Mom and Dad were in California, so I'll have to see who's left to tag!

1) I am the first born and I act like it. Yeah, Lucy and I are littermates, but I was the first one plucked from the cardboard box, so that makes me first born.

2) I like to chase and bite Lucy and Stevie, but I rarely bite people.

3) I got my name because I was so tiny and didn't really even have teeth, that Mom and Dad thought that it was funny to name me Bitey. They also wanted a name from the Simpsons, so that's why the picked Bitey over Chompers and Killer.

4) While I am a tough guy, I have a soft side. Every night when Mom gets into bed, I come up and purr and knead her shoulder. Same shoulder. Every night. And I always have to smash my head into her face or open hand when I'm kneading. I'm very particular.

5) I love to go for stroller rides.

6) Right now I'm confined in prizzin (spelling compliments of my friend Rocky the Gutter Cat) because I've been peeing everywhere. I hate prizzin, but I like that I made Lucy do it once too and now she's in lockup with me.

7) I'm a totally laid back guy, but when I'm at the vet I love to growl and hiss. I don't bite and I let Mom hold me and I still love her, but I like to scare the vet people! And with a name like Bitey, it's easy to do!
