Arrival Story:
We were on our way to the last swim meet of the season at the end of July when sitting on the white line of the highway I saw this poor little white kitty. Well, I stopped and went back for it because it had a snowball in July's chance of surviving all that traffic. I parked and got out and he was still sitting there on the white line. I called him one time and he came running and jumped into my arms. I had had no intention of keeping that cat, but right there he launched himself into my affections. He had apparently been the victim of a drive by tossing. All the whiskers and fur on one side of his face had been skinned off. One of his legs was a little torn up, but other than he was fine and has been healthy as a horse. (Except for a tangle with a nasty possum that bit his tail and back leg back in the spring.) I attempted to find him another home, but honestly I didn't work too hard at it and it was one of the best decisions that I ever made. Peter(my resident cat) and Snow were best buddies immediately and Peter's psychosis improved dramatically! They are best friends and get along so well. I was just amazed at the difference in Peter. Snow will come in to eat and snooze occassionally, but he is happiest outside in the yard. He has even learned to open the back door himself. And he loves to nap in the tree in the backyard.
