Arrival Story:
We found Meaghan while on our honeymoon. We pulled up in front of our cabin where we were to stay for a week, and this tiger-looking thing came running and leaping toward us - we thought it was a large cat a long ways away, and it turned out to be a little cat pretty close by! She was in pretty sorry shape (see photo of her stretching on deck rail) and not too trusting of us, but quite hungry and lonely. We gave her a little food every day and left the door open for her, and by the end of the week she was constantly around, so we drove to the next town, bought a cat carrier and took her back with us. She had been pregnant, the vet told us, but then she had the kittens and they all died. She was emaciated - only weighed 6 lbs.! We took her home and fattened her up and gave her lots of love. She has a lifetime love affair with food and, secondly, her rescuers.
Bio:
Meaghan has had trouble taking social cues from the other two cats - she seems to miss the little signals that say "enough" - but Jasmine has been more than happy to train her in her own harsh but effective manner. She is getting better at speaking cat.

Meaghan is getting along with the other kitties a lot better these days - sometimes she even sleeps with them. But come nightfall, she is the only kitty on the foot of the bed, a spot she vigorously defends. She is middle cat these days, now that she is showing respect for Queen Jasmine the Polydactyl (those catcher's mitt paws are painful!) Poor Maddie is at the bottom but she doesn't seem to care or know. Mommy recently returned from vacation and Meaghan followed her around, making cute little "Mama" noises. She's a good little talker.
