She has learned to meow, which may not sound like much of an achievement, but she never uttered a sound for several years. Then she learned that it could get her fed.

Arrival Story:
She was born, along with three other little black kittens, under our shed. Her mother is a feral. Once the kittens were old enough, all were captured, spayed, and given their shots, including the mother. Now they live with us permanently. They must live outdoors, but we provide them with shelter and heat. And plenty of food. There are now only 3 of them: Sooty, Smudge, and Mama Cat. Slick, the only male, ran off after he was neutered.
