Arrival Story:
Found him a Vet up for adoption. His leg was injured as small kitten and was given up. Others passed him over because behaved like a wild cat in the cage as well he was injured. I brought him home opened the box. He promptly jumped out and started playing with other cats' toys. He knew he was home. Love to destroys papertowels and toilet paper still wrapped in plastic! and loved jumping on the mantle. The vet had him labeled as a Oriental / Mix. I always assumed that he was a Tonk / Mix because he reminded me of my mom’s Burmese. After looking seeing the Havana Browns and reading the personality traits. I now think he was a Havana / Mix.

Bio:
I miss my little brown bear dearly. Early this year I took him to Vet because his breathing was very labored. They drew several mls fluid from his chest. She ordered an EKG and we discovered that his heart muscle was enlarged and pulmonary fluid building around his lungs making breathing difficult. They only gave my sweet little boy a few months to live. My little brown cat was dying of Congestive Heart Failure and there wasn't anything I could do about it. I took him home and gave him is regiment of medicine and let him be a cat. He seemed to responding to the medication. His breathing was still labored but he still did his cattily things Leaping on the fire place mantle, the occasional tussle with the other cats, and tossing around of his favorite. He would even trot off when it came time to take his pills. Sunday morning Kubby was having harder time than usual. His mouth was open desperate to get air. He wanted outside so I Iet him out. He walked down the deck stairs and lay in the grass. They came up the stairs and walked back in the house and collapsed. I petted him and whisper to him as he died. I felt so helpless there was nothing could do to ease his suffering. I gather him up and put him in favorite bed in his favorite spot, petted and prayed for him. He was the sweetest little cat. Even with a failing heart he would greet me when I got home, give daily head bumps, leap on counters and the mantle, supervise the bathroom visits, poach milk, and chew straws. Rest in Peace Kubby Bear. You will always be loved and missed. 11/1/2003 to 3/20/2011
