Arrival Story:
One day my husband called and said he found a little calico cat at a dumpster near his work. He does this just knowing I would want him to bring her home! Why else would he call and tell me about her?! Of course he'd never admit to this. LOL! Well upon arrival that night after a quick look, it was quite obvious to me that she was pregnant. Yes, you heard me right - pregnant! She also proved very quickly to be one of the most grateful, lovey little cats I had ever seen. The next day and a trip to the vet confirmed my suspicions. The vet said she would probally have 3 - 4 kittens in approx a week or so. Welll after 4 wks of royal treatment, Ms. Sydney had SIX healthy, beautiful babies! It was so sweet and I was honored that Sydney wanted me right by her side during the whole birthing process. This was my first experience having a pregnant cat and being there for a birth. I think I was just as proud as Sydney was of the little cuties! Update: 5/17/06 - All the kittens were adopted to very good homes. We however kept Mittens & Aprillee! And of course Sydney!
