Tabby and White
Hunting bugs, grooming humans, demanding lap time
Being ignored, being removed from a lap
Anything insect. Also a big fan of earrings, earplugs, pens, bottlecaps, and carefully organized stacks of paper.
Favorite Nap Spot:
Any available spot on a human body. Otherwise, in the bathroom cabinet, or on her afghan.
Science Diet hairball. Although if she had her druthers, it'd be garlic and sushi in that order.
Houdini - she can open any door. Also likes chewing expensive leather products and electronics wires.
Adopted as a 5 month old from a no-kill at Petsmart. She got me as I was walking by to get to the cat litter section. I named her Marlena for the come-hither glance and the kisses I got the first time I held her. She knows how to WORK it. Managed to work her way into her big brother Max's heart in no time flat.
Great eyeliner, great shoulder surfing, loves garlic. Really laid back, friendly personality, but she has to supervise everything that goes on in the house. Compulsive groomer of human eyebrows; great kisser and nose-rubber. Sleeps more heavily than any cat I've ever know - you can actually pick her up and move her without waking her up.

I sure miss Max. It's been a few days now, and it's finally sinking in that he's not coming back. I sleep on his favorite blanket a lot -- it still smells like him. I can't remember when he wasn't here. My girl's sad a lot, too. I wish she wasn't.
The other cat, Chance, is trying to make me feel better. He hangs out with me a lot. He was friends with Max, and I think he's sad, too. He wants to be friends with me. I've been blowing him off for months, but maybe I should reconsider. I DO feel better when he sleeps with me.
On the upside though, it's fall, which means lots of squirrels and birds to hunt (from inside the patio door, of course!!), and warm fires to sleep by at night. Lots to keep me busy. I just wish Max was still here to share it all.
