Arrival Story:
Originally named Butterscotch at the Humane Society of Central NY. She was 11 months old and had been there for five months. She was up on a perch about my shoulder height. My cell phone rang, my friend from KC(notoriously hard to get a hold of). I got distracted by the call and stopped scritching the ears of Butterscotch. A moment later, I felt a paw on my shoulder. I turned my head to find a little fuzzy orange and white face staring at me. I knew at that moment I'd been adopted. I took her home and took a few days to decide on a new name for her. JoJo just fit.

Spoiled Housecat. Queen of the apartment. loves watching pedestrians from the 7th floor windows. reminds me of Snooch of the online comic Two Lumps.

Well, that lady brought over the other cat on Saturday. Mommy liked him, Jack was ambivalent, but I didn't like him. She did her best to convince the other lady to keep him, as her other cat was starting to get used to him. He was okay, but we just didn't get along.

I think Mommy is gonna wait to get another kitty.

Mom's been emailing with a lady. I think she found us a sibling. We get to meet him this weekend. She says he's my age and has LOTS of energy. Cool, maybe he can help me with my kittaerobics to lose some of this extra weight.

I'm sure she'll take lots and lots of pictures of him, if she decides to take him. You'll get to see him soon. We're meeting him on Saturday. His name is Inu. She says that's Japanese for 'dog.' Is she sure he's a cat? She SAYS he's a cat, but with that name, I'm not sure.

She says he's a lot like me, cuz I follow her around all the time. If she's in the bathroom, I go in there. If she's making jewelry, I sit on the bed behind her, make sure she's doing things right. Kitchen? Well, there's always a chance she could drop a piece of chicken or decide to feed us our gooshy food earlier in the day. Or maybe a second meal. Yummmm!!

I think Mom needs the computer back now. She has a second one, why does she always need this one? Oh wait. It's the chair she wants. Hmph. Any and all chairs in this apartment are automatically MINE! I just let her sit in them once in a while.

OOPS! Here she comes!!

It's actually kinda cute watching him chase the red string. For so long, because he was sick, he didn't play much. He slept A LOT. Now that he's feeling better, he's more active. I've been in the chair watching Mommy drag the red string around the apartment. Jack has been chasing it, grabbing it and then letting go. I followed them into the bedroom for a bit and saw him really grabbing it when she drags it across stuff other than the floor. The bed, the giant stool next to the closet. He pounces on it a lot.

I'm glad he's feeling better. He still doesn't like the trackball toy, but maybe someday.
