His food. Hands down. He also likes sun spots, laying on a human, being pet, and sucking wool with full claw extension! Ouch!
Our kitten Nina. She drives him nuts! Loud noises and my singing also disturb him.
plastic Easter egg halves, string and live bugs.
Favorite Nap Spot:
the ottoman, bathroom rugs and my bed.
Anything he can get his paws on! He is on a "catkin" diet now and can only eat Hill's Prescription Diet m/d which he loves.
He is very spooky and can leap straight up in the air almost to my chest! (not easily done considering his girth!) If he were allowed outdoors he would be a great bird catcher. Eating and sleeping (hey, he's really good at it!)
indoors and outdoors
One day I looked out into our neighbor's back yard and saw their two large dogs chasing a kitten up a tree. I ran out to the field in back of our house to find the kitten but it was gone. Two days later it showed up on our driveway. He had been running around wild so he was very shy. He finally let me pick him up and I took him inside and gave him some food. He must have been only about 9 weeks old. I later found out that my next door neighbor had found him and had just tried to take him to the shelter but it had closed. When my husband came home my young daughter ran up to him and said, "Daddy! Come see my kitten!" We knew he was ours from then on. We named him Jar Jar because he was so friendly and "floppy". He has always wanted to get back outdoors where we found him but we endeavor to keep him inside where he is safe. He hates other dogs but loves our poodle Jez. We are happy to have him home safe with us now.
Jar Jar is the sixth cat I have owned in my life and the most needy. He likes lots of love and attention and he gets it. He has more medical problems than any other cat I have had. After being neutered his weight shot up and he developed urinary tract infections. We try to control both with exercise and diet. The infections have disappeared but we still battle with his weight. We are hoping his weight will not lead to diabetes. Over the past few months he has slowly warmed up to my daughter's kitten Nina. They play together often and have recently cuddled up near each other every now and then. We are hoping they become good friends and that Nina's invitations to play will help Jar Jar get the exercise he needs and provide companionship during the day when we are all gone.
