indoors and outdoors Arrival Story: He, just like his sister, was found in a tank next door at the armory with his other siblings. They brought the kittens over to us and the two that survived out of the four were Tank and Sarge. They were raised by a dog named, Casey, who no longer lives with us(moved out with his owner and recently died). Bio: He is very affectionate and loves to lay in your lap and get pet. He LOVES food and treats. |||| He recently went into surgery to get a tumor removed that was on the top of his head. The same time they also cleaned his teeth and drilled out one that was broken. He is now back happily at home. He will spray if you ignore him when he wants to go out, but we usually catch him before he can do so. |||| December 1, 2006- We found out today that Sarge has diabetes. He has to get 2 shots a day. |||| Forums Motto: Pet Me!!! The Groups I'm In: ♥Artistic Creations♥, ♥A TEAM♥, Begging Consistantly, Love 'em? We were away for the weekend and were really upset when we got the call yesterday that the woman who was watching our cats found Sarge laying in his own urine. She brought him over to the animal hospital where they found out his glucose was too low(Strange, because he's diabetic). The vet worked on him, but he was very out of it(she was able to pull out one of his teeth that was loose). Later in the day he started having seizures and she called and told us she thought the best thing to do was to put him to sleep. We agreed because we didn't want him to have to suffer any longer. We didn't really want to drive home to see him in that condition either. So on August 31st he was put to sleep.
It seems a little strange, I always felt he and Tank would go together. It feels weird having one without the other.
Well, first off, I've put on a lot more weight now. I'm back to about 16-17 lbs! Tank and I also recently celebrated our (guesstimated) 16th birthday.
Last night, mom and grandma noticed I was sneezing a lot. It's just a cold, but grandma doesn't like it. It makes her worry.
I also want to go outside a lot, but they won't let me!
Things are running...pretty smoothly with me. I'm much skinnier than I used to be, because of the diabetes, and I'm always hungry. Not like I wasn't always hungry before, mol. I don't move around as easily as I used to either.
Mom is still working on my website. Maybe it will be up by the summer?
Meow,
Sarge
