Arrival Story:
I met Scruffles just before his brother, Purrsley, came to dinner & stayed for 15+ years. Scruffles was an outdoors cat who was very ill when I found him. I asked the neighbors & found out who his people were. I told the guy his cat was really sick & the guy said, "Well, if he makes it he makes it - he's just an outside cat. " I bit my tongue & said, "Oh, then you don't bring him to the vet's?" He said, "Nope." I said, "Ok, what's his name, by the way? The guy said, "Oh, we just call him 'Scruffy'. " We said our goodbyes, I took Scruffy to the vets & he nearly died, but pulled through. Shortly after that we (Scruffles, Purrs, Topaz, Brinky, Snagglepuss, Shadow & Fluffy) all moved on. Scruffles is my last remaining kibble from that time.
Bio:
Scruffles is mostly whiskers & eyes now, but he is a sweet boy who tolerates his dog brothers. He has adjusted to his new brother, Sprocket, and new sister, Buttercup. He was kind of lonely after Purrs passed on. He's my boy! I swear he can say my name!
