Arrival Story:
Bear is originally from the Doylestown area. My mother found out a coworker's cat was having a second litter. I chose Bear sight unseen. Bear is special because he is Epileptic. We found out at a young age, three seizures later he went on medication and has been seizure free ever since. Some people may have been discouraged by the vet bills but he is my spoiled, sweet, sick little baby, no wonder he gets away with murder! UPDATE: some sad news, Bear has been diagnosed with kidney disease on Dec 12th 2005. He is doing well for now but will have a shorter lifespan, just more reason to spoil him!

Feeling good

Still going strong

July 5th 2008 5:25 am   [link to this entry]

This month I will be 6 years old! With epilepsy and the early stages of renal disease they didn’t think I would make it this far but I am doing better than ever! Because my specific gravity levels are at the low end of normal and seem to have gotten better every time I am in the doctor thinks my kidneys may be stronger than they thought! Also, I haven’t had a seizure in so long they want to bring down my medicines. I still have to eat the horrible prescription food and my brother Monkee hogs it all (he has no taste!). But life is good

Feeling good update

Just wanted to say how good I have been feeling lately! With good medicine from my arch nemesis Dr. Glassman and prescription food which I hate (I much prefer my sister May Mays good eats!) My blood work has been like that of any other cat, Believe me, I know I am no ordinary feline! It feels good to be healthy and spoiled and mischievous :)
