Arrival Story:
I was adopted by my family just after Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf coast. My new family wanted to adopt a new cat so that the local shelter would have more room for hurricane kitties who lost their homes. That day, I was in my typical mellow mood and my new daddy was attracted to me because I was affectionate without being too needy. He didn't even know that it is possible for a girl cat to be an orange tabby. I hear that he was afraid mom would pick a Siamese mix. Even though my new home had 3 other cats and 2 of the biggest dogs I had ever seen, I slid gracefully into the family. I didn't even hide under the bed for 3 weeks. Instead, I just picked out a couch cushion, made some biscuits on it to make it comfy, and took my first long nap. EDIT: I am starting to warm up in a big way. I am now taking naps on my daddy's chest................and greeting my mommy with enthusiasm! What is next?

Bio:
Cat Trina wants everyone to adopt rather than support breeders. She knows that there are too many wonderful pets out there already looking for a home, but as long as there is profit, people will breed. Please SPAY and/or NEUTER while you are at it :) !!!! THE FRIENDS OF CATS AND DOGS FOUNDATION
