Please Pray for Me

Mom already took me to the vet. And I am about halfway through my medications.

It all started on April 1. Mom noticed I was walking crooked, with my head tilted to one side and I seemed very dizzy. I was still eating and drinking and being sociable so while she was concerned, she thought she would watch me and see how I was doing the next day.

I was better the next day, but worse on the third. MOm took me to the doctor.

I did not have an ear infection, but I had a fever. The did bloodwork on me, which turned out okay. I got tested for FeLV and FIV and both were negative.
SO they prescribed me some medicine, clavamox and prednisone. I finished my clavamox on thursday, but have about two more weeks of prednisone to go.

Not a lot of improvement as far as my head tilt .However, my mood is good, so is my appetite. My litter habits are okay. Today when Mom got back from grocery shopping, I even made a dash for the front yard and got out for all of 3 minutes.

It looks like I had a stroke because I cant straighten my head. But the vets havent said anythign about a stroke, Mom is not even sure if its possible for cats to have strokes.

A week ago, Mom was very upset at seeing me walking around with my head all tilted and she was in tears when she called the vets office and brought me in a second time. The vet told her to let the medicine start to take effect. He also said he has seen cats worse off than me that have come through okay.

This is a very strange thing to happen to me. Mom doesnt think the vets know whats wrong with me either. If Im not better by the time I finish my medicine, MOm is supposed to take me back to the vet so they can take x rays of my skull.

I am trying very hard to get better because Im still a young cat and Mom and the rest of my family need me to get better.
