We miss each other a lot. But I'm ok, I'm in a good place.
Big hugs and purrs to everyone.

Alvin Huckleberry once told me that kitties in Rainbow Bridge live in big, beautiful homes with milk fountains and kibble on demand.
So I find out today that its only if thats what you want! It turns out you get to personalize the size of your home and you get to pick out what kind of treats you can have on demand.
Today I was very busy.
I moved out of the big airy house and picked a smaller home for me. I have 4 rooms. One is the sleeping/napping room, an eating room, the litterbox room and the fun room.
my food supply is tuna, water, and kibble every now and then.
in my sleeping room I have a chair and donut bed that is an exact replica of the one Mom had for me down on Earth, complete with the scratches I put into it and the familiar scent of home.
...I dont think Alvin is too impressed. See, he lives in a huge oversized house and he always has all kinds of kitties over.
When I showed him my house he said ' Humbug"
what is that supposed to mean?
Anyways Im really excited. Tomorrow they are delivering my gazing ball and I havent decided if I want it in my fun room or in my sleeping room. I can see my house on earth and stuff in it. Its better than internet!

by Mari, Beenie's Mom :
I just came across a video I had taken of Beenie. It must of been in late January or very early February 2008 cause there was a red piece of paper with a heart on it on my dry erase board (in the video). A note from my daughters kindergarten teacher about the upcoming valentines day class party. (she is in first grade now)
Seeing this made me so happy. Seeing my sweet boy. The sight of him was so familiar, it was as if I had just seen him yesterday when in fact its been 6 months. I feel like..if I touch the screen I'll feel his fur.
Its funny how seeing him "triggers stuff"... I remember how his fur felt, and the shape of his shoulder bones, his little claws. As crazy as it sounds, its almost like I can feel his presence. Not like a ghost, but maybe like a very real, super vivid memory where you can feel and smell someone.
I sure miss my kitty.
Sweet, adorable, cuddly, precious, Beenie!!!
ps. I uploaded the video a short while ago - its called Beenie in the Kitchen, but it may not be available for viewing right away. It's in the encoding process right now. Hope you will check back in case you cant see it yet. Beenie meows a couple of times in the video. He was quite a conversationalist!

If I was still on Earth, I would of been 17 years old today.
Wow! I've heard thats a pretty long time for a cat.
Im getting used to life here at RB. In fact, there is a celebration planned for me today, but i am not supposed to know.
My mom remembered my birthday. Her birthday wish for me was that I keep on being happy at RB and she would see me later.
and my birthday wish for all the cats and their meowmies is that they have many long, happy and healthy years together, like me and my mom had!
p.s. I see signs of Spring down in the area of the planet where Mom is. Last night, i saw mom left some kibble for the outside kitties and she stayed in the porch a few minutes straightening out Happy's blankets. She heard a thud on the front deck and saw a huge ball of fluffy fur... too big to be a cat.. and too odd shaped to be a dog. it was a RACCOON!!! Eating the kibble!! Ugh!!!
The raccoon got startled and left. He was funny cause he wasnt moving very fast for being scared, he was really roly poly and cute.
Poor raccoon. We hope he is okay. Thankfully, all my feline family was inside the house, sheltered from odd critters like skunks and raccoons. Did I ever tell you there's even been deer??
Some folks were saying how the forest critters are such pests because they come into the humans yards and look for food and stuff. But in my humble opinion.... the humans are the ones that are the pests because THEY are the ones that moved into the homes of all those
beautiful animals!! Yes! The deer and raccoons and skunks were there first!! Even the bears!!

HA!
Valentines Day is ok for humans like my mom. Mom is a frazzled old girl. She spent the week putting together her human kids valentines stuff for their parties at school: finding candy stuff that was kinda cool but not too expensive....and making sure they signed their names on their valentines and other stuff. Surprisingly she was able to work on that stuff uninterrupted by felines. Every now and then one of us would jump up to where she was working and just plop ourselves on top of all her stuff. Wooo hooo that was fun.
So what did she get for the Dad? You know, that other human that is bigger and hairier than her and eats a lot. Well, since they have been married around ten years she was out of ideas! Candy? Nah. Weird underwear with valentine themes on it? Nope. She got him a CARD and a calendar. The calendar is for his office at work and it features "Halo" which is some video game. What did Mom get for Valentines day? Nothing. Well actually she got dinner. That was enough for her. Dad liked his gift and Mom was happy and so all was well in my old house.
But wait until you hear what "" I"" Beenie did for Valentines Day!
Well, I dont know if you know. But during my life on earth, there were 3 special lady cats in my life. I was married twice, first to Petunia in the 1990's when I was young. She found a new love and left. Then from 2001 to 2006 I was married to Scooter. I lost Scooter to a car accident. Then I had a girlfriend. Her name was Khai Lei and we met on catster. She is here at RB now too.
and for Valentines Day I ended up having a romantic dinner with all 3 of them!!! The best part of it was that I got stuffed. I ate and ate.
oh yeah and I checked in on my Mom. She ate and ate too.

( or How Mom Ended Up With A FREE Miniature Schnauzer. And a puppy at that.)
I approve Mom. And I dont think you are a sucker either.
Anyways, this morning my mom was in the shower when Dad stuck his head in the door and asked her if she knows what a miniature schnauzer is. Weird question, she thought. SHe answered Yes, why?
Dad said his friend was on the phone and he asked him if we wanted a dog. It turns out he had bought a min. schnauzer for his kids and now his kids werent being responsible for the dog and so he was mad at them and he was going to get rid of the dog.
MOm said, yes tell him we will take the dog. (Of course. WHat else was she gonna say? NO and have that poor pup end up in a shelter?? Geez.)
So Dad told his friend that MOm said yes and he went to meet his friend and pick up the puppy and bring him to our house.
Less than two hours later, little Benny arrived. His first family had named him Domino but mom thought it didnt suit him. SO she renamed him Benny, to match his sweet personality plus she was thinking of me too.
He is a 7 month old puppy, and he is black with a white chest and gloves. He was trembling when dad brought him inside the house but warmed up to mom cause she made a big old fuss over him. Benny arrived along with a crate, a blanket, brush, two chew toys, bowls , food, training pads and his Halloween costume.
His first day at our home went well. How are my fursibling taking it? Surprisingly well. Skeeter isnt scared, neither is Pepino. Frito hisses and swats, Hucky seems curious and a little cautious. SParky is freaked out and has stayed downstairs. Little Benny ignores the cats.
Mom knows its going to work out.
..... some months ago, way before I came to RB Mom thought it might be nice to have a little dog. She liked the idea of taking him to the park with her and the kids but didnt get a dog because of me. She thought it would stress me out too much because of how old I was. She would worry about me a lot and would make sure that I was stress free and happy. I think Mom thought she would never get a little dog.
But, Benny came into her life! He's one lucky dog. She's gonna spoil him. Oh, and she almost named him after me but decided to name him something very close to my name instead! Beenie - Benny.
Is he my replacement?
(No Beenie. You dont have a replacement. )
Purrr.
So anyways I'm sure Benny's going to get his very own page on dogster here in the very near future.
I'm very happy that Mom was able to help that little puppy.
A happy ending!

I just heard the news that my catster sweetheart came to Rainbow Bridge on Dec 4.
She was very sick at the end but she lived a very happy life with her mom Trish and her fursiblings and they love her a lot and miss her a lot too.
Aww Khai Lei. I am sad that you left your mom and family but I am so happy that you are here with me. We will go exploring and have many kitty adventures while we wait for our moms.
I love you Khai Lei.

From Mom
Hi Beenie. Today is Christmas. Its almost over and things have quieted down here in your old house. All your fursiblings are sitting around and looking out the windows at the christmas lights and the snow. We had a happy day. Frito had a blast darting in and out of gift bags and crumpling papers. And this year, the tree stayed up because Hucky has outgrown climbing on it and knocking it down. Yes Beenie, we were able to have a Christmas tree this year!
I know that you are warm and happy at RB. I imagine that on Christmas you get to wear a beautiful red bow and your fur looks especially sparkly!
Missing you always my sweet kitty.
XOXOXOXOXO

Its been one month since I left my mom and came to Rainbow Bridge.
I look in on my old house and my mom and things seem to be okay.
The days have been long for mom without me, but at the same time, the month has gone by fast. Not a lot has gone on at the old house but thats not surprising. Mom likes boring, routine and predictable. "its good for the kitties!" is what she always says.
One thing that is sad for her is downloading pictures from her camera onto the computer. She has had a digital camera for probably about 5 years now... and every time she would download her pictures from the camera there was ALWAYS a lot of pictures of me. She always had something new to add to my catster page. But now, there wont be any more new pictures of me.
Mealtimes are different now too. Mom doesnt make the 'special soup' except for maybe once or twice a week. "Special soup" was a can of kittty food with warm water added. She made this for me every day to make sure I got enough water. I loved soup and so did the rest of my fursiblings! I looked forward to this every day. Mom would stand at the kitchen counter and mix up my soup for me and feed me there.
I was so special.
My chair and pillow have been moved out into the porch so Happy can sleep there this winter. Happy is a kitty that mom has adopted, and during the winter, she lives on the porch because she cant get along with the rest of the cats. The porch is enclosed, but Mom likes to keep it extra warm in there for Happy. Happy is an old cat... probably about 10 years old. I dont mind that Happy got my chair and pillow. Ive seen her sitting on it and she takes good care of it.
Mom sits all by herself every evening when she watches tv. Every now and then Pepino, Frito or Alvin will sit with her for a few minutes. But no one sits with her the entire time like I did! I would even fall asleep sometimes.
I am missed. A lot.
Mom remembered what today is. Its been one month. We didnt say goodbye when I left to come to Rainbow Bridge, but to mom it already feels like forever.
I've heard that when our humans pass through here and we are reunited with them, that the wait doesnt seem that long at all!
I think thats a thought that all the sad mommies and daddies who are missing their fur babies need to remember.
