Dear Friends,

I have bad news. To make a long story short, Bob has advanced lymphoma.

Bob has not been feeling like himself for a few days. Last night he was lethargic and refused wet food, definitely not like himself. I assist fed him this morning two times before his vet appointment because I am always worried about hepatic lipidosis.

Upon arrival the vet tech weighed him. His vet came in and looked at his chart and said that he had gained a lot of weight since his last appointment. She did a physical exam, particularly of his abdomen and said it did not feel normal and she suspected fluid in his abdomen and would x-ray him first. The x-ray showed a massive amount of fluid in his abdomen and she suspects his intestines are pushed up against his stomach and that is why he doesn't want to eat, or his stomach is beginning to be affected by the lymphoma.

Bob had had alopecia on his tummy a few months back. Well, apparently with lymphoma, the skin can be affected presenting with alopecia, crusting and flaking, which is what happened to Bob. His hair on that section of his tummy never did come back.

Before the appointment I told my husband Mike I would bring Bob home so we could make any decisions together if the news was bad, since Mike had to work today and could not attend the appointment. He's going to be heartbroken as Bob is his "special boy". I already made an appointment for tomorrow at 10 am for the journey. I don't want Bob to suffer and the vet said he would begin to suffer soon.

I'll be there waiting for you at the entrance to the bridge tomorrow Bob. We love you sweetie and we're so furry sorry this is happening. When you get here there will be no more sickness. We're all here for you and your family Bob.

Very sad to read this. Bob is in pain, so it is his time to join us here at the beautiful Rainbow Bridge. Please feel better knowing that we are all waiting for him here and will take good care of him for you. Taylor is excited about seeing her brother again.

Hugs all around to your family. Please give Bob a big kiss for us on top of his head. Wishing him a peaceful journey tomorrow.

Many purrs from us, we also wanted the human male to be present when Balty went to the bridge. We always said he was his cat and they had a close connection. He only left to go out of town that morning and was to fly back home that night. BUT Balty took a turn for the worse and I couldn't delay it. I really really didn't want to do it, I wanted my husband to take him. Things don't always go to plan and we totally understand what you are going through, Many purrs from us.

We are so very sorry to hear that Bob will make his journey tomorrow. We will be thinking about y'all in our prayers and purrs. Bpb, we love you dude! You are such a great furiend and we are heartbroken that you have to leave your earthly family and furiends. Kiki, Nigel & Charlie will be there for you at the Bridge when you make your journey.

Oh nose Bob, this is just heartbreaking, we love you and your family so much, but we know they are doing what is best for you. It is a selfless act of love. They love you Bob and soon you will be free from all the pain and sadness. You will be a beautiful angel at the rainbow bridge watching over your wonderful family and waiting till you can all be together again. Oh my sweet angel friend, mom was out of town for several days and while she knew you were making your journey to this beautiful place (Marmelade told her) she had never read this til tonight and while you and I are here painfree from our sickness our families miss us so much. Mom sends lots of love and hugs and prayers of comfort and peace to your mom. Mom had to do this for me to and dad just could not stay in the room with us, each hoooman is different. While they could not confirm for mom if I had FIP or cancer, they knew it was the end of life with my family I had the same symptons of fluid on my tummy.
