Dear Catster Friends,
I had my check up on Thursday. My high blood pressure problem is starting to resolve with the medication, but it's still a tad high, so my Norvasc has been increased. The main problem is my weight. I lost 5.5 ounces this past month. The vet believes it is due to my CRF and my age.
Mom told my vet that she wanted to let me eat the food I want to eat, instead of the renal diet which I only tolerate, and to let me enjoy whatever time I have left. My vet agreed this would probably be for the best and that she would help keep me comfortable.
Mom is devastated with the thought of losing me. We've been inseparable for almost 18 years. And with my sister Taylor going to the Bridge just a few short months ago, this is doubly hard.
Ahh Tiger, please hang in there! My heart goes out to your Mama too! I am purring and purraying very hard for you!
Hugz and purrs, Sassy
Tigger, I am sorry I spelled your name wrong, it was a typo, please furgive me!
Uncle Tigger, Zack and I are purring for you. I think it is a good idea for your Mommy to want to feed you what you want to eat. Eating and keeping weight on is very important for CRF cats. High quality protein is good and if your phosphorus number goes up, you can add a tasteless phos binder to your food (if you don't already). Plus I'm sure your Mommy would like to see you enjoy eating.
I hear that renal food doesn't taste too good.
*BIG HUGS TO OUR FAVORITE UNCLE*
Lots of Luv,
Zoey and Zack
Oh Tigger please hang in there and be strong, for your mommy's sake. You know how weak these humans can be sometimes, they need us to be strong for them. Keep up the good fight and keep eating your nom noms, whichever kind you like! Good luck and lots of love for the future for you and your family.
Oh Tigger, Our moms just can't bear to part with us. Hang in there sweet boy. Eat whatever you heart desires. I am purring for more good times with your family.
